I don't know about you guys, but I really like looking at the reviews people put up. It helps me get familiar with the stuff that's out there, and it's just all around fun. But lately it seems like every other post is some jerk saying "I shoved this barrel up my butt" or something like that. First of all, where's the common respect? Second of all, how bored do you have to be to go to a review site and post stuff like that. Is this pissing anyone else off, or is it just me?

Yeah I spend 'bout one hour a nite reading reviews from everything to grips to paintballs, so I can talk with the 'big dogs' on the field. :)

i totally agree i have wasted so much time reading through reviews about total crap. this site is for serious people to talk and learn from the fellow players not learn about their personal problems.

Ya, alot of the reviews are crap... I mean just go to the automag section and read those reviews that say "Mags are the best..." and then go through some logical reasons why. Complete BS and lies, they should be deleted. On the other hand, the cocker reviews saying cockers are the best are just completely true, I couldn't find a more a true review anywhere else. Atleast there is 1 place here where there are SOME good, true reviews. :)

Yeah there used to be people who just give stuff 1's and put stuff like "im so drunk i cant type and this gun sux". I hate it, it just makes it more time consuming for the people who get rid of bad reviews.

Well most of the time I read them about a marker,Then I go out and look for that marker that someone is using.See is more beliving than someone telling you what a great marker they got.

Don't get me wrong Twitcho, I click on the "report this bad review" link on every bogus review I see (which is ALOT, probably 5-10 a day). I'm just getting annoyed with all of these immature people. Also, I hate it when people are like "I used my friends paintball gun for 2 minutes. I didn't even shoot a ball, but it was AWESOME! Perfect 10!". Or when people are like "I haven't got my stuff yet, but I know it's going to be so good. 10". Hell, one time I saw a guy go on and on about how this barrel was performing so badly, and at the end of it he said "but I'm sure I'll start liking it after a few months" and gave it a 10 (probably because it was the Terminator, and everyone else gave it great reviews. But come on, if it didn't work it didn't work).

I liked the comments too. There you could read those and see what other people have to say about the review, and more importantly, the gun. If there was a debate over something, someone would eventually come along and let everyone now the truth. If you read the comments right you can weed out the crap and find out who really knows. Those were a very good addition and should be brought back.

yep it's really irritating, and pointless to do. In fact i think im going to read some reviews now and report the stupid pointless ones

Is there any way the admins can retrieve IP addresses from reviews? I'd be willing to bet it's the same kid or kids making these stupid posts over and over again, and we could just ban their IP addresses and solve the problem pro-actively, rather than reactively.
