no.. not all feed necks can be unscrewed, the eirlier cerial numbers can't, but if your going to buy a impy then for sure it can be cuz itll be new, but if your buying a used one then check the #, im not sure what #'s can't be unscrewed but its one of the lower digits

The threaded feed tube happened around 3000. For some it was earlier for others it was later.

If your feed tube is glued in there will be a small hump before and after the feed tube on the body. This was done to give the body extra surface area for the glue to adhear to.
