Hey all,
i tend to travel with the family alot and i try to paintball where ever i go (thats the life being a kid and all). Anyways last time i went i had to use all rental stuff, which wasnt so bad. But i was wondering are there any really good carry cases that i shouldnt be afraid to put my investment in and feel safe that the ppl loading the plane wont break it?

i'm talking like a hardshell suitcase thingy-ma-bob. No a softshell thing (i've watched them throw bags onto those luggage cart and wut nots)

if there isnt, do you have any home made things? I believe i read sumwhere they got a case at home depot and got some foam and just cut the foam to their liking.

thanks

Check home depot or lowes. They carry a nice aluminum case with a foam padded interior. It's only like $20

yeah, my bro got a nice one from lowes. It holes it really nice because the foam isnt formed to it, so it just squeezes it and make it stay. But then again, it doesnt have much room in it for tools and whatnot.

I use a Doskocil 2 layer 4 pistol case. Hard plastic (I doubt it would break if I ran over it), lockable (via pad locks, holes for the padlocks are already in place), holds 2 markers (or 1 marker and a bunch of tools). I can't remember, but I *think* it's water tight as well.

yea, it cost more then your generic case, but I don't have to worry about anything happening to it or anything in it (other then making sure it doesn't walk off the field with someone else).

I use a plastic tub thingy, but it's not good if I want to take it somewhere because of the bulkiness. If price is not an issue, I suggest the Redz, Planet, or JT bag/suitcase things....

There are a lot of Camera specific cases that people have converted to paintball cases. They are designed to take the abuse of anything and most are water tight. Just tell the air port that you have a paintball marker and a tank or whatever and make sure that the tank is open and empty. The fine for loading a partially filled co2 or HPA tank on a plane is 10 grand last time I checked. If it's a preset attach your asa to the valve to asure it's open...and if it's an adjustable open the reg to vent all the air and keep it open. You will run into more probs with the tank than the marker.

ok, redz full size or jt suv big bag both are very good

and if u want to take a high pressure tank, it's good if u can disasemble it, so u don't have to fill out forms, but what u want to do is talk to the airl;ines about high pressure tanks and paintball stuff for saftey

I think it's called a padded tool case, perhaps utility.
