I took my friends spyder (I think its a classic or standard) home from paintballing to see if I could fix it. It leaked gas internally.I know it's the valve. I dismantled the gun(I know where everything goes cuz I got and SE and I know it well) and the valve is jacked!!!. Everything comes out on the gun except the valve. It only goes so far then it gets stuck. no way to budge it. What should I do???

if the valve is scratched in ANY way, you have to get a new valve. The valve is the most sensitive part in the Spyder. I myself got a new valve because i accidentally scratched my old valve.

YOU PUT WD 40 ON THE VALVE?? WD 40 to a paintball gun is like..cyonide to a human. WD-40 will kill the o rings faster than you can say paintball. And yeah, he's gonna need a new valve if there's a scratch on it.

ya my friend put WD40 on his autococker bolt o-rings and on i think our 3rd game it wasnt working, so he took it out and the o-rings were broken and like really messed up.

Wd 40 is a lubricant that is meant to loosen rusted nuts, bolts, etc. and lubricate metals. It is not meant to be put on rubber, like O-RIngs, because the chemicals in the WD40 will dissintigrate the rubber, and break the O rings.

hahaha dats funny. im gonna go upstairs...get a plate...put an oring on it...spray some wd40 on it...and stare at it until it totally dissolves.

hahah i think the O ring would fall apart, not desolve. When i ment dissintigrate, i meant that the structural integrity of the O ring would be weakened dramatically and would fall apart. :D

one other thing: the valve is supposed to be hard to remove. It should have a snug fit against the wall of hte main body.

I use PMI Perfect oil. ALso Gold Cup oil is really good.

now now, wd40 is not a joke, it's great stuff, it removes stains, starts your car, removes gum from your hair, it just screws up o-rings.

After years of riding dirtbikes, 3 Wheelers, BMX, and other chain driven devices, i can tell you ONE thing WD40 is good for.. a CLEANING Solvent / DE JAMMING Solution.. never use that stuff as lubricant...
