hi everyone. i'm a total newbie.. i've read a buncha reviews on guns, masks, clothing.. even paintballs.. but i can't find any reviews for accessory stuff ie: co2 tanks, barrell squeegees, hoppers, elbows, plugs.. i know i'm probably just showing my "newbie-ness" but when i check the sites, there's a whole bunch of different things, and was wondering if there's a difference, and if so what they are. i hope i left the rambling down to a minimum.. thank you everyone for your help in advance

Heya,
Go to www.countypaintball.com . It is a paintball shopping site but they have got a review thingie as well. Just select the product, and scroll down to see the customer reviews.
Also visit www.durtydan.com for some very good paintball info.
And here's http://www.durtydan.com/ddpd/ddpdmain.html a link straight to his paintball dictionary, wich you should check out. If you don't know what a certain part or word means, just search for it there
Good Luck,

In my opinion a CO2 tank is a CO2 tank. Along with a barrel plug.
For the hopper, I would get a vl200. You can kinda see how much paint you have and they arn't to expensive. For a squeegie. you can make your own if you want (I did) but the straight stick work really well.
You can also check out http://www.paintballonline.com , they have omost everything you will need but it might be a little more expensive. They also have really good customer service.

a CO2 tank is just a CO2 tank. They all use the same design so there isnt any sense comparing em

if this site doesnt have reviews for them than there probably isnt an important difference

I think the three are :
pull through
straight
and t shaped.
I have a pull through and it works pretty good, but I would get a straight one. You can find a straight one with a leg holder at most sites.
Make sure that the squeegie dosn't just have cloth at one end put a squegee like thing at the other end.

For CO2 tanks, I HIGHLY suggest a 20 ounce tank. It will hold enough for you to play all day. You can get a 20 ounce tank for $20 at http://www.shop4paintball.com
You should get an aluminum tank; no matter what any of those sites say, they are MUCH lighter.
As for squeegies, it's all personal taste. I actually use 2 types; a battleswab and a pull-through. I carry the battleswab on the field because I can shove it into the barrel and twist, getting most of the paint out. I can also clean out powerfeeds with it, which is a MAJOR advantage. I can also easily put it into a pocket, because it folds in half.
When the game is over, I clean out my barrel with a cord style pull-through with disks. It cleans it VERY thoroughly.
I do NOT suggest the straight shot, stick type squeegies. You can hook them onto your leg, but you can't put it in a pocket, and you can't clean powerfeeds with it, and it doesn't clean as thoroughly as a cord type.

thanks.. that's a lot of good information.. i guess what i wanted to know was wether there were actually any differences.. well like you said aluminum tanks are way lighter..
what about other things like hoppers? there's a whole bunch.. what do you all think of that? are there special things i should look for.. anything that's "cool"
oh, also remote systems.. i think that's what they're called.. those tube things that go from the gun to a tank on yoru back.. what are the good/bad thigns about those?
anyway.. again, thanks to everyone who helped me out on this stuff..
