ok they look the same to me except the excal is close bolt and has a better trigger,
whats the differences internally of the two

they have the exact same trigger
excal-closed bolt, bolt slot is straight out of the back
viking-open bolt,bolt slot is a "z" type shape
internally there is one less solinoid
basically thats it

so why spend 400 more on an excal? besides the closed bolt....................

the excal is a bit quieter,a tad bit more efficient because of the closed bolt design, some people think it feels a little different aswell ,all based on the closed desin, other than that no reason

some excaliber's have a sort of trigger bounce. so if you pull the trigger light enough, you go response
