Hey guys, my first post here...I just ordered a Custom 98, Bigshot barrel, spectra thermal mask, and other accessories.

My first question then is: what's a good, inexpensive pack to carry the balls/co2 in? I have see the JT Slam Pak, Ronin 4+1...which both look good...I am looking for something in black, relatively low profile (not to bulky) to go around my back. I dont' see why I need it to hold more than 400 balls and one CO2 cannister or water or something...

Any opinions, as well as inexpensive sites to find it? Currently looking into Ronin 4+1 for around $24 (http://www.paintballgear.net/ron41wittub.html) but I don't think that's black (kinda color blind).

Any help here is appreciated for a true newbie.

The slam pack is wicked expensive, spo i would get that, Just kepp looking, every site hs them. Go to 888paintball, shop4paintball, and paintballondemand. I know they have low prices, and search the pack part of the site. Alos, i know these sites are realiable, ive ordered from each one

Yeah it is the Spped pod harness. The harness alone is 30. And 4 speed tubes is another 25-30.

Yeah, my friend was gonna get, but figured it wasnt worth the money. Dont u need a special hopper adapter to so u can slam the pods down. Also, i heard u break balls a lot because they are transfered so fast

I have an Extreme Rage 4 vert with 4 140 tubes. That's more than enough for me. I usually play drifter, and i think 760(200 in hopper plus 560 in pack) is more than enough. As for a water bottle, i don't think that you will need it in a game, because they are usually no more than 20 minutes long. An Extreme Rage pack is like a cheaper Redz pack:comfy and low profile.

760 paintballs is a lot to cary in a game, why would u need that much? Speedbal u might need a alot of paint, but 760 is kind of a lot isnt it? Ive never gone through more then 400 a game, but that was a 10 on 10, and it lstest like an hour because ou field is like a half pipe, and we kept swtiching sides and crossinf the field and stuff. But 760, ahe u ever used that much in a game?

most of the time, no, but i usually go through maybe 300-450. But, on occasions, i will play back player and i've been known to lay down 1000 rounds in less than 5 minutes..LOL i was hyper as hell that day. :D but yeah 760 is alot, but i don't fill up every game.

It is definately worth the money. If you don't want to have to manually open the tubes you can buy the speed coller ($30). I Don't have the coller, just cause it isn't the most important thing on my list right now.

Hey rock this is clint from stillwater. I own the ronin 4+1 pack and i plan to use it for my remote. 200 in the hopper and 400 balls will be enough in most situations, but i almost wish i had got a harness to hold those 140 ball pods that are popular too. Anyways its a pretty good harness for cheap its black and ronin is a good company. Shop around though. Find something youll like. If you wanna see the tubes (not included btw) then look at walmart at the viewloader paint those tubes (paint comes in) are the size that fit in that pack. Hope that helps. Look forward to shooting ya later.

Hey, post a link where you got yours. The link I gave just makes the pack (ronin) not look black...maybe you got yours somewhere else with a better picture...

to counterfiet, . True, u can fill up really quick. But we have a wodds field, and the most paint we ever had to carry was on a 10 on 10 game, and at the most we went through 400. U suallyt htough we play hopper ball, so it didnt matter.

I've got the Whole JT setup, Harness, pods and speed collar. I paid $100 for everything. But, it won't hold a tank, so it probably wouldn't work for you, unless you put a drop forward on your marker and forget about going remote.

If you go that route, then you can probably find a store online that sells the whole JT setup for less than what I paid (I bought mine at a local pro shop).
