most places dont allow blind fire cause its cheap and the refs dont wanna get shot

I do it sometimes, like when your being pinned down and you just can't poke up long enough to shoot. So I just stick my gun up and shoot to scare em down, I don't ever expect to do anymore than scare them and hope they will stop pinning me down though.

I remember running to a bunker ... I knew there was a guy from the other team off to the left, so as I ran, I sprayed paint to my left, one handed, I just didn't want the guy popping up and nailing me while I was running. I got called for blind firing. I thought it was kinda crappy, but having to sit out a game cause I argued with the ref would really suck.

from my experiences i have never come across the snap fire rule. I use it pretty often, its useful when you want to make a quick run to a bunker. it helpful i dont see why it shouldnt be legal.

The blind fire rule is to prevent newbs from shooting the refs and the lighting in the field. The more experienced players mostly have no problem using it. Reason being, that if you stick your gun out of your bunker and fire, you arent gonna hit jack all, so no problem by me. A hopper is a plenty large target to hit, and you'd be doing yourself a disservice because you are giving someone a hopper to hit without any chance of hitting your opponent. On the other hand, a good bunker move doesnt have to (and usually shouldnt) involve running past the bunker. Therefore you must reach around the side of your bunker and fire and often you cant reach your head around.

It depends on the field. Trauma and I play at one place that doesn't do gun hits because were are playing recball/for fun. We have had some "pro teams" get upset over the no gun hit rule but as I said we are playing for fun.

BTW when I said "pro teams" that isn't a flame against any pro players. I was making a statement about an experience I and some friends had playing against an actual team that considered themselves pro. They complained non stop about not being able to get us if they couldn't count gun hits.

i dont do it because its a waste of paint if i am just stuck behind a bunker and i am too big of a ***** to peek my head up to actually look through the window and shoot. its a newbie thing and if i see people doing it just tell them not to because its a waste of paint.

I dont blind fire, like prokchop said, its a waste of paint your not gonna hit jack****, the only thing that might happen is if ure blind firing at a newb and he gets scared and ducks...a seasoned player wont duck from blind fireing, unless its actually getting close to you witch it probelly isnt.

Oh please don't take this as an attack or flame cause it's not. It's an observation. Since a lot of people are getting high end guns wasting paint is a null point for them. Where I play blind firing is frowned upon for the fact you don't know what you are shooting at. It's a safety thing. You are correct though that at first newbies do it a lot.

I get hit with a paintball, I'm out. If I hit someone with a paintball, they're out. I don't care if it hits my hopper or my head and I don't care if they were aiming at me or not(and visa-versa). It's pretty simple, everything is an extension of you. Should the bottom of my jersey not count because it wasn't tucked in properly? Neither should your hopper.

Paintball isnt a game of war where u shoot eachother, its a mix game of tag and CTF, if u hit someones hopper/gun there tagged and there out thats how it should work and thats how most places work.
