What should I get

I want to increase my efficiency on my pulse. I have already on it:
VFF
Voodoo Delrin Bolt
Thats pretty much all I got besides a Blade trigger and a Freak.
I have heard good things about the HVVC(High Volume Valve Cap).
What does a Slick shot do?:confused:

I have been looking at LPR kits. I have heard they increase the operating pressure and you can lower the bolt pressure.
Would it do anything with the VFF?:confused:

I want to make my gun Pinch balls instead of chopping them.

yes you could make your gun pinch balls, but your efficiency would go wwwaaaaaaayy down.

an lpr with help with your efficiency bigtime, did for me anyway.

LPR kit doesn't do as much as the tapeworm from what I have heard.
Does anyone Have a VFF and a LPR Kit? Just wondering.

Nope, a tapeworm wont help with efficiency. Its actually said to take your efficiency down .


Gali, you heard backwards. The Lpr does everything the tapeworm does X 2 and much more.

I don't know about a tapeworm and efficiency but in my experience;

The NDZ Valve Cap cured bolt stick and increased my fps by 15. Later I added the Eclipse Aggressor Optimizer and my shot to shot consistency went from +-6 to +- 3.

The HVVC was a very good upgrade. Slick shot was another good one that totally cured my FSDO. With a SS hammer I was able to lower my input pressure a bit from 180 to 170 with a low dwell setting.

second of all you cannot have any 2 installed on an impulse at the same time, so if you want to put on an LPR you will have to remove your VFF (unless you want to keep it as a cool looking vert adaptor)

It would help a great deal if we knew how your gun was set up. The important numbers are what pressure you use and what veloicity the pressure give you.

in general- the lower you go on pressure- the worse you get on shot count. Unmodifed Impulses normaly run best around 180 psi.

Your gun will accept a VFF/AFF. personaly this is the way I would recomend you go. dollar for dorral the VFF will give you the best preformance increese for your gun.

You can not use a VFF and LPR together as the VFF gives the solonid its own air supply-- this would override the regulated air supply from the LPR.

Vff, max flo reg, voodoo delrin bolt are mainly the only upgrades i have that will make my gun better.
At 150psi, I am shooting 285fps.
I am trying to make my gun lower bolt pressure but higher the operating pressure so I can get better efficency.
Any ideas of how I can do this?

Without buying anything you can start by:
1: turn your max-flo up to 180
2: turn your dwell down
(if you dont no how to do this ill explain it or someone else will)

that should help your efficiency.

the only way to do this is to get an LPR, but i stongly suggest that you don't get one unless you know how to use one and how they work.

and no you can't run any 2 solenoid optimisers together.

In my experince, by increesing your pressure to 180 and readjusting your dwell to get back to 280, you will gain 10-12% on shot count. So if you are currrently getting about 650 shots pre fill, you can increese that to 700 to 750 per fill by simply "retuning" your impulse.

Ofcourse the only way to have a different pressure at the solonoid then at the valve is to run some sort of LPR. You have already gained most of the advanage you would get from a an LPR by simply haveing the VFF. In other words- while a LPR would be a BIG PREFORMANCE increese over a stock gun, the LPR is NOT a big improvment over the gun with VFF.

We have seen a small improvment in efficency with the eclipse DART valve system. on our test guns this has been about 5-7% THis is not a lot- but like all improvments, the more changes you make, the less return on investment you get with each additional upgrade.

The DART valve system is made by planet eclipse so the best bet would be to tryhttp://www.planeteclipse.com but as they are situated in England shipping may be costly.
