98 custom ?'s

i went to the feild yesterday with my pump, i got kicked. a team of 3 people all with customized 98's just beat the snot out of many of us including angel users. now i know its the player not the gun but in this situation i REALLY wanted the gun lol. it seemed o nice and one of them let me fire theirs...awesome. well anyways my questions is, he had some sort of expansion chamber which i beilive would normally have a bottomline hooked up to it, but instead he screwed his tank directly into it. it looked great and balanced even better. unfortunately i forgot to ask what it was.
anyways im gonna c about buying a 98 and then upgrades, im leaning towards the j&j ceramic barrel and that expansion chamber, i just need to know what it was. it was black and looked like it had ABOUT 6 stages for expansion.
so first off i just need to figure out what that exp chamber was and secondly if anyone has any help to give about upgrades then please tell me(i have read the sticky)
i play more woodsball than speed but it would be nice to have a multi-purpose gun.

i think its the proteam x-chamber, they suck, at least for me it is hard to shoulder my tank with one, also dont get an x-chamber get a reg, much better, if you want reasons i will go into those

It is probably the intruder expansion chanber made by proteam. You might want to get a stock to help you shoulder your gun if you get this

Recommend the collapsible stock over the solid. The solid is more for working at long ranges...but if you are going to use the foregrip and no handguards save the money and don't bother with a stock because the effect wil be minimal in comparison to a handguard setup.

Also, the collapsible stock will allow for work close in on the speedball field more so than the solid stock and yet cna be extended to allow for solid assaulter play on the woods field. I do about the same as you and I have found the CAR stock to be a wonderful asset. Make sure you get a raised sight rail or red dot however, your basic sights will be nearly useless.
