when you unscrew the co2 tank from your marker and all the gas that is in the gun is released in a little burst, does this mean the more often you take on and off your tank the more co2 you will lose?

heh, well im not obsessed or anything i just think that stuff is cool. hey does anyone know of any good spyder websites? that have gallery's and tips and stuff. there is a cools site for tippmann m98's (m98center.com) that has alot of cool stuff on the gun and i was hoping there was something like that for spyders floating around the net somewhere...

Our team got a chorno,So we pretty much know what our markers are set at. Guess is the pits.If you change paint the fps will change might go high or lower, also if you do it in the morning ehen its cooler it be lower by mid afternoon be higher. So its really hard too guess,Before we'd shoot a tree if the bark came off it meant its a hot gun. lol :)

i hate when the people that work there are fixing ure gun and they unscrew the CO2 for no reason and alot of it gets wasted

you only lose 2 or 3 shots, most of that is air left in your gun, a smaller % is because the pinvalve is still pushed down. if you unscrew it 1/2 way then take 2 shots, the gun won't even recock then you can unscrew it and none will leak out. (but you will lose the same 2 shots either way)

you can get a good crononograph for about $60-80

well gee ONLY 80 bucks huh? just to get your gun at correct velocity...i think ill go down to the pro shop and just have them do it ;). hey if i did do that or at the field, couldn't i mark my thumb velocity adjuster so i wouldnt have to have someone else adjust it everytime it got off?

well you could but on CO2 its changes as the day goes on cooler temp lower vel's as it heats up thur the day higher vel's.So if you set it too 300 vel's at 9 am by 1pm you'd be hitting around 330 or little less or a little more. cron's are a nice tool box the war locker when ajusting your marker at home.Yeah it cost a little bit but then its something nice too have around. If you got friends you shoot with all the time go in together on it.Give it too the guy thats akways there to bring it each time etc.
Pro shop here is 5 mins away but I hate to hassel them cause then they want me to play on there field all the time.

yeah, i would really like to buy one because they are pretty useful and important. especially if you like to go out in the woods and play with your friends not on an actual paintball field. although there are alot of things id like to get for my gun and its not real easy for me to come by alot of money. id like to at least get a barrel and reg. although im pretty impressed with how my xtra's barrel performs stock and im no pro so maybe i can hold off on the barrel a little while.

all u have to do is unscrew if about 1 full turn and shoot all the co2 out. if it just keeps shooting, unscrew it a little more. it should sound like ur tank just ran out of co2 and then it can be taken off w/o losing co2

LoL, today I took my C02 tank off for the first time and I was trying to do it like the guy at the shop showed me, but I ended up screwing it up and the c02 escaped from the threading... All well I didn't bust an 0 ring.. though if i coulda damaged it tell me.

whether you just unscrew it or wheher you do the trigger thing you lose the same amount. its just whether the built up pressre goes out the barrel or out the c/z adaptor. and you didnt do any damage to anything but the oring. do the turn thing explained above and the built up pressure will be shot out of the barreld not go out the back. also something might be wrong-do you have a spyder?-what type
DijonMustard

what? is there some "special" way you are supposed to unscrew it?
dawgs712
06-09-2001, 06:49 PM
you fire the gun whileturning and instead having the air come out with tank it goes out barrel. the same air is lost its just better on the orings and less startling
DijonMustard
06-09-2001, 07:00 PM
oh ok. yeah less startling...ill admit the very first time i unscrewed a co2 tank it rather scared the crap out of me. hehe. but how do you shoot and unscrew at the same time? i guess its possible it just sounds difficult..
Savior
06-09-2001, 07:01 PM
nah, it was user error, i unscrewed it right the second time
