Alright guys. Our group may be thinking of starting our own first tourny team. BUT, I need some questions answered.

1.) How many pods do average back players shoot in a 3 man? I don't know how much paint to carry, since I'm gonna be a back man, and am wondering? What, maybe 7? Or is that too much?

2.) What is the best positions for a 3 man? 2 front, 1 back? 1 front, 2 back? A front, a mid, and a back? I've seen the other thread on this bu still am confused.

3.) Back players, once things get settled in after the break, move up, as the frnt players move up, right? Or do they always stay all the way in the back?

4.) How does a tourny go? Do you hav warm up games? How does the point system work? Do you get to bring our own paint?

5.) Anything else that may be important to a new tourny person like me?

I know its alot of questions, but I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance!

we played our last tournament with 1 back 2 front and in my opinion i dont like moving back guys up untill you are up on players as with your back gu up front too it makes you much more vulnerable to bunkerings, when it gets down to a 3v1 then definatley move up but just dont make stupid moves just for the sake of moving up. Play agressive but carefully, talk a lot and always know where all 3 of there guys are. Walk the fields well before hand and learn which bunkers are most powerfull and plan responses to there possible moves, Dont be scared as in 3 man you can come back from 3v1's and 1v2's. Dont become to scared to move always play agressive as if you dont they will take key bunkers and get the angles, there usually isnt any warmup games but if you can play the field beforehand. Are field has used both a 60 and 100 point system for 3 man tournaments so it depends what the guys running it want to do. 3 man is an odd format as losing one player can completley shift the momentum whereas in 5-7-10 man games one player being shot out dosnt completley change the complexion of the game. Talk it up and plaay agressive and you cant lose every game.............
