Should i modify my stock bolt by taking that part out or get a aka lightning bolt? Would modifying the stock be just as good?

That would basically be the same thing. You could get the cylone 3 bolt, it worked great, but since i want to go low pressure, i took the cylclone head out of the bolt. It has a longer diamter then the stock bolt, so it lets more air through, and it will work better for low pressure, and it works great now. Dont bother with the aka, its not worth the money. U could get the shocktech delrin, its about the same price, and that wont scratch in your gun or be as loud. Hope this helps

how do you take the venturi part out of the bolt? i've been trying to figure out for weeks and i haven't figured it out yet

i've asked myself this question numerous times, and can't really figure it out...

If your going LP, air flow is an issue, but in fact if your going low pressure as well, AIR SPACE is an issue, and removing this handy dandy little item will leave a void of material that will now be filled up by air. this brings up one question.. isn't this a semi pointless mod, since your making a trade off of air pressure vs air space ? if you create more air space to fill, you will be lessenign the usable air pressue you have already... this makes sense to me, am i wrong, if so, SOMEONE please point out what i'm thinking...

i did it the other day its pretty easy...
1. wrap the bolt with a towel or rag so u won't scratch it..
2. hold the bolt with a pair of pliers(right where the part that hangs down from the bolt)
3. with a needle nose plier unscrew the venturi(counterclockwise)

what does that thing people are taking out of the bolt do for you anyways?

it gives unrestricted air flow. Since the Venturi is popped off, there isn't any obstacles for the air to get around, thus giving more air flow, and more airflow means less psi needed to operate.

yeah but what is the difference between it when you have that venturi bolt in or not? Meaning what does that venturi bolt do for you when it is in the bolt?

theoretically a venturi bolt "separates" the air so that the ball isn't smacked by a blast of air at one spot, but evenly distributed. In LP, the pressure is low, so you don't have to worry about that, but you do hav to worryabout maximum air efficiency, and the venturi part reduces airflow and therefore reduces air efficiency.

does the aka lightning bolt come with the piece that catches the striker? i have heard it doesn't so i have been trying to take out the stock one but i can't. if you do have to then how do you do it? the screw won't come out. the allen wrench was not strong enough and it snapped.

you might wanna contact Kingman for that one. Go to Kingmanusa.com and you'll find their phone number and email address. Call them, they never respond to emails.

they have no solution except buy a new bolt and take the pin out of that one

I found a sweet site for taking out the venturi bolt out and other stuff. http://24.200.3.254/spyderclub/

so should i get the aka lightning bolt or modify my stock?

The AKA has better flow because it has a bigger hole. But if you're cheap, just go witht he modified stock. I personally have a Shocktech Delrin, and those work great for lp too.

does the shocktech have the venturi thing in it
