Shot my xtra today for the first time, and I realized two things... First, gas was escaping from the left valve pin. Second, it broke balls horribly. EEP. I was using 32 degrees performance plus paintballs, there is no review for them. People say that the xtra's stock barrell is good, but it broke LOTS of balls out of 600. I got to use my two new squeegies a HOLE lot. Also, my pull though squeegie sucks, even though it cost more. It dosnt even fit thorough my barrell, the little rubber things came off and I had to poke them out. Just talk to me before I commit suicide, paintball is not what I expected. Tomarrow is my party and we have to use field paint and their field paint is Zap. Oh no.

turn down the velocity a bit and it may be shooting better.

Ahhhh... yes very smart. OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY. do you think it was only escaping from the side because the velocity was way up. i havnt chronod it yet, and the guy at the pbshop said i shouldnt worry about the gas that is escaping thats cd.

If the gas escapes down the barrel than tell the guy at your shop to put in a new cup seal.

the squeegee-glue the rings back on.
the co2, check your valve. take off the x chamber and foregrip and then take out the cup seal and spring. u should see a small circular thing. thats the valve. take out the valve pin on the bottond mak sure your valve is in the right position. DO NOT TAKE THE VALVE OUT WITH ANYTHING HARD! YOU NEED SOMETHING WITH A SOFT TIP!!! make sure the hole that the valve pin doesnt screw into is facing up, the end with the smaller hole is facing the striker, and that might help. you want all the gas go up to the bolt out the sides, so the valve must be positioned correctly. hope it helps

thanks, he said it was allright, the gas isnt escaping from the barrell, its escaping from the valve pin on the side. I think its just because my velocity is way up. I mean it was shooting bark of trees.

the xtra i got had no problems when i got it. guess i got a good unit. alot of people complained about lose screws too but i didnt find any on mine. i havent chopped any balls, even using crappy viewloader paint. i havent encountered any co2 leaks either. guess i got lucky...

nah its a good gun. I broke a few balls, but it was still very accurate. Plus I was using 32 degrees paint.
