If I'm not mistaken Crossfire is made by PMI. They now have a line of tanks that are "stubby". For example an 88ci that's as long as a 68ci, just a tad thicker. I want one of the preset 4500psi ones myself...yummy. Compact!

are crossfires any good? I seen a realplayer video of it at http://www.paintballchannel.com and the recharge rate is amazing! I really want to pick up that tank. go and watch that video. are all the crossfire tanks that good?

Crossfire use to be released by PMI but now their totally independent. PMI's Nitro rigs are now under the Pure Energy banner and as far as I know have nothing to do with Crossfire. I don't have the 68 Stub or 51 Stinger(I guess the bee reference is more than appropriate:)) but I saw them at Skyball and I was like, "I gotta get one of these!". I'm leaning towards the 68 Stub( I wish they had it in black) although the size of the 51 Stinger is pretty impressive, I couldn't believe how small it was.

Ok, any steel tank is gonna suck. Every nitro tank heats up while being filled. And when they cool down, they lose pressure, down to around 2900 PSI. Same with steel tanks, but they heat up so much that there is false pressure in the form of heat, soe when the tank cools, it's pressure drops to like 2700 PSI, thus, a crapy fill.

and what do you mean richy c by crappy fill? not right amount of shots or not good nitro in the tank

well the amount of pressure in your tanks tells you how many shots you have, but was i said, once the heat gets taken away from the steel, the pressure drops, so you don't have as many shots

The 68 Stub they had at Skyball was green and all the pics I've seen of it show it to be green (I believe the standard 68cu Crossfire is black) although if they have a black version out, Great! I'f not, no biggy, I'll probably get a tank cover anyways.

what tank size do you recommend? I really want to get a Crossfire tank. but i'm not sure how small a 68ci is, and how big the 88ci is (3000psi versions). what do you prefer?

Get an 88 if you really need the gas mileage, if you have a shocker or matrix. Get the 68 if you have an angel, impulse, cocker etc.

The bad thing about the Crossfire 88ci tanks is that they're long as the 114ci's and thin as a 68ci. It was eltwitcho that once said "You'd be a boner to buy an 88ci tank." PMI makes really good 88ci tanks, short and fat.
I prefer either crossfires or PMI's. Until crossfire releases their 4500psi versions, I have my eyes set on the PMI Pure Energy tanks.

I know what you mean. I'm waiting for the new 4500psi crossfire tanks, but Im not sure if I should wait or go with the 68ci 4500 Pure energy tanks. Some people say they are good and some people say they are bad, so im not sure about the PMI tank.
