I got a Stingray II semi-auto in april 2000...I was wondering if there was any way to quiet it inexpensivley. Also I was wondering about some upgrades for the gun to make it shoot better. Does anyone have any information I could use?

Yo, what up mike, its ken, I personally think u shold give ur gun to ur cousin liek u said, and buy a compact . There is more ways to go with the compact, and it would be cheaper. U play extrememly well, and ithink wiht a beter gun, ull kick ***. Think about upgradin u stingray, ull need an asa adapter, bottemline adapter, and not for much, i mean, ur gun is made of plastic. Get the compct and work from there. Another thing, ur not a new paintballer, u can post in the genreal paintball talk place, ull get better respnses, at leas that thatsh what iv efigured out.

He is a newbie and has a newbie question. Questions like this are much better for this forum than the general forum.

Well i started playing paintball with a BE Stingray II. I thought that gun was ok, I mean i was really a hard core paintballer or anything. I upgraded the barrel first and i was very happy (Eagle Works 12") then I added a bottom line block. next i added acrylic ball detents (this is a must! the stock detents will chip the bolt face after a while and you will chop paintballs like mad!) this also silenced the gun a little more. My next upgrade was another barrel (12" Smart Parts Progressive) this barrel performed better then the Eagleworks barrel.

I recomend the Barrel, then the Acrylic ball detents.

try http://www.paintballtogo.com that is where i got mine. When I added the barrel it got quieter, the acrylic detents will also make it slightly more quiet on top of that. However the gun will still be pretty loud. The bolt is very loud on the Stingray II.

Is there any way to make the bolt quieter or just get a new bolt that already IS quieter
