Can any PB gun use just plain air from an air compressor. I know some can but how bout a syder compact Java deluxe?

almost all guns can. very few actually use pure nitrogen. 99.99999% of places use compressed air. some guns need some slight modifications to use compressed air. your spyder will work just fine. but if you're talking about a compressor you have in your garage there will not be enough pressure. you'll need at least 800psi for your gun to run. 3000psi to fill a tank.
