Hey, twitcho, just out of curiousity, when did you get your intimidator? Is it new? or is it one of the older models?

Not that it makes a difference to maintainance, I'm just curious :)

Came with the older barrel (sh*t) older smooth grips, older thinner eye covers but the most recent version of the board before semi only came out I believe

Yes it is very nice. I didn't mean to be rude when I said the 2 cents thing its just that I think you, jester and trickdaddy over post and I read the posts thinking "Hey New Info" when its just little comments like the one jester made about my tight ***. Yes my *** is tight. Cause I am not ***. But I like my saying when something is cool:

Hey twitch... your intimidator maintanence should be incorporated into Pbreview's faq.. . been talking it over wit Andrew(about the faq) he says cool, but its low on priority list.. new server and forum software takes precedent obviously...

So anyways.. save that whole schpeel you wrote in a .doc or whatever.. unless you feel like typing it all out again.

Another thing.. do you know where I can find pics on the internals.. or atleast a description of how it works.. very curious.

elTwitcho
06-16-2001, 09:35 PM
Imus trust me, you're supposed to lube your hammer, I dont think that's why your o-ring broke

Imus
06-17-2001, 11:16 AM
ok ok...i'm just pissy cuz my Timmy doesn't work right now, and the stupid shop in town doesn't seem to have the correct size o-ring...i'll just call Delta or whatever tomorrow and get the full scoop. This sux0rs!
I had my Stabilizer set at 200 psi...does the setting change for psi on a reg change depeding on the pressure you're inputting into it. I used a 850 psi preset tank that day as opposed to my normal 20 oz.
200 psi into the LPR wouldn't do that would it?
I hope it was just that I didn't seat that o-ring or put the hammer back in right and not something more serious.

Imus
06-17-2001, 12:13 PM
It appears the leak is coming out right in front of the hammer

elTwitcho
06-17-2001, 02:37 PM
the LPR should handle 200 psi easily. Replace the o-ring and do what I told you about making sure the LPR was properly reassembled. That should fix your problems, if not, let me know

Imus
06-17-2001, 05:49 PM
alright Twitch...thanx0rs! I'm a little calmer now that I know what the prob is (for the time being) and what I have to do...it sucks not knowing what is wrong with your 700 dollar gun

elTwitcho
06-17-2001, 05:56 PM
Well, what can I say, o-rings break. It aint the gun's fault, o-rings just plain break, and it's inevitable... which is why it's always good to bring a spare set of or-ings (at least enough o-rings so that if every o-ring on your gun broke you'd be ok) with you, because these things will happen until they make guns without o-rings (and I'll be first in line to buy it)

JesterDude15

The INTIMIDATOR is the best, better than my LCD Angel with MaxFlow. Must be maintained properly. I use DOW 55, the same grease BOB LONG uses, call them for source near you. The only mod I made was to remove the stock high pressure reg and replace it with the KAPP volumizer from BOB LONG, another reason to call them, and a Palmer 50 to 250 low vertical presure reg; go to <www.pettypb.com/timibasic.html> for details. This conversion makes for a tremendious improvement in all aspects and allows the use of the most delicate (easy breaking) paintballs such as HELLFIRE without any concerns of breakage in the barrel. I use the FREAK setup. Good Luck.

hey twitch (or anyone who wants to answer)

when i go into rapid fire (semi-auto 14bps) after about 5 shots my balls start to drop off and only fly like 10 maybe 15 feet as opposed to like 120 (feet) or so.

i asked around the field and one guy said it could be my tank is not feeding air to my gun fast enough (i own a 45ci 4500psi Pure Energy tank).

i had an adjustment that took out the HP Reg. and i have a Vigilante reg that i run at 225psi into my gun

is it my tank?(if so what do you recommend) or what?

thanks in advance

SH4YD33
10-08-2001, 07:50 PM
do you hear air leaking out of your vigilante? from around the burst disk? try greasing your poppet and checking your pin valves. also oil the vigilante. i'm not sure if you ahve to oil the reg on the tank.. but if you want to try make sure the gun is FULLY EMPTY and screw your tank in your gun keep twisting your tank until the reg part of your tank unscrews. oil the spring and piston in the housing. i dont know if you need to do this. but greasing of regulators usually stops shootdown.

zacharyaus
10-08-2001, 08:19 PM
no. no leaking of any kind anywhere.

can i use normal lube on my reg?? or that grease that i use on my gun?

oh ya how is the mountain bolt working for you????

and i only get like 400 shots out of my 45ci 4500psi tank is that normal??? when they fill it to 2000

SH4YD33
10-08-2001, 08:28 PM
yeah thats about normal if you were filling to 4500 psi you would get more (of course). the mountain bolt is the best for me. you should get one. its more quiet and it has less kick. i would use the grease that you use on your gun (dow 33 or dow 55) since if you used the liquid based oil it would shoot up into your gun and get into your solenoid (sp?). i had the same prob with shootdown but then i found out that my vigilante was leaking after about.. 4 shots from the burst disk. if all else fails. call bob or post a message at www.mtnpaintball.com.

man twichy i neve use anything except dow corning 55 (oring lubricant) on my intimidator. lithium grease is ok but if it only lasts a day or 2 then i'd get some dow 55. it lasts for months :)

elTwitcho
11-16-2001, 12:17 PM
Hey hey, nice seein you here mister Holbrook :D

I started out lookin desperately for some Dow 55 until eventually someone told me to try white lithium. I bought it "just to use until I get some DC 55" but after a while the stuff grew on me. All these months and no broken o-rings make it a great lube in my book :)

Matrix muck is also a pretty decent lube, but pretty thin in my opinion

pr0kch0p
11-20-2001, 06:06 AM
so wut to use?

doe 33, dow 55, or white lithium?

most people are saying dow 33 so far, some swear by dow 55, and twitch, well he likes the white stuff.

Marauder
11-20-2001, 06:31 AM
if you can get the dow corning 55 then use that. if not then well just use what you can till you can get some. i really like it alot i use it on all of my markers now. i even used it on my cocker and it just works great.

i will be appending this page with a step by step guide of how to maintain your timmy, and more detailed info of what each picture is of.

Marauder
12-13-2001, 06:18 PM
hey man lookin good but there is one step u did that isn't necessary. i never take the adjustment screw out of my reg housing. a few whacks on the mouse pad and the guts come right out and when u put them back in there is very little to no adjusting of the reg. that and i'd also mention that bob recommends only dow corning 55 to lube the marker.

pr0kch0p
12-13-2001, 08:29 PM
i know that, but el twitcho said . . . .

i dunno, if i can find some dow 55 around here then i will pick some up

also about the adjustment screw thing, it was hard for me to screw the regs in with the adjustment screw in there, so i screwed it out most of the way in order to put the housings back in there.

Does someone have a pic of the poppet so i know what it looks like. If my first shot is always soft do i grease the poppet or the regs.

Is it hard to screw up poppet stuff 'cause it looks like there are a lot of parts in there.

check the manual should be one there. just take your regs off. its pretty easy twitch pretty much summerised it up.

White lithium grease is all good and such, but i am using Dow 33, is that a bad thing because i've paid enough that i want to finish the tube before moving on and i've been using it for a while(i've actually done the maintance you suggested a few times already) and i would be pretty pissed if Dow 33 would be a bad thing to use

elTwitcho
01-15-2002, 07:00 PM
Dow 33 will work just fine. I swear by White Lithium, but Dow 33 will give you no problems man

I use some grease that came into the local shop. It was labelled as paintball grease. It's great. I don't what what it's made of. I don't know who makes it. The label has worn off my bottle. If I find it again, I will let you know what it is. It works great though. It's green in color if that helps anyone.

How often should you do this maintance?

SWlTCH
02-03-2002, 09:52 AM
i do this after each time going out to play. When i play i usually go thru about a case of paint. Plus i dont like having paint worked into all the guns grooves and just left there, so i clean the whole thing out completely.

Any advise on proper maintenance of a GZ Timmy???

elTwitcho
04-07-2002, 04:46 PM
Internally the 2 are almost identical. Follow the same steps, only now you have 1 regulator on the gun to lube instead of 2 (not counting the torpedo reg).

elTwitcho
04-07-2002, 04:46 PM
Oh yes but if you have a delrin bolt (which i think the ground zeros have) do not lube your bolt

Can anyone give me an idea on how to remove the trigger from the Timmy?

Delta says to use an Allen wrench, but what size?

With my wondeful eyes (cant see a thing) it seems to me that it doesn't requuire an Allen wrench but it looks like a sprocket lock.

Any information would be appreciated.

True - Don't use lube on a Delrin bolt - but use DOW 55 on the stock bolt.

Use Tri-Flow on the delrin bolt's. Bob Reccomends it. It doesn't make the delrin swell, and it makes it glide like butta

Here is some help with people that are having efficiency problems with their Timmy's.

I was getting about a hopper and 3-4 pods (about 800 shots) off of a 68/4500 fill. Unexceptable!!! Now I get a hopper and 8 pods ( about 1400 shots) off of the same fill!!!!

What you do is make sure everything is greased up but before you do that change out the O-Ring on the poppet and the ram and you should see a huge increase in your efficiency. It is a good idea to make sure the ram bumper is all good also. It is that easy.
