What I s up with All Of You Tippman Haters?

Why is it that everyone on this forum hates Tippmann? It's a whole heck of alot better than most gun makers. Then why do you always diss them?

people make fun of them because the 98 and pro are very low quality guns. they:

hard to strip down
need custom everything (xchamber ect)
dont even have a triggerframe with parts in it like most do, the springs pop out all the time
are fugly looking
dont have large enough foregrip
most have flatlines which are friggin huge.


they just arent very goodguns and they are marketed to be great guns

Tippmanns are great, I don't know why people diss them. The model 98's trigger is the best trigger on any blowback I have shot. There very durable. I know there not the hottest looking gun out there... but they have really good performance and thats all that matters to me.

I think everyone puts them down because some people post foolish things like this:

You Bought a 1600 dollar gun
you shoot 14 balls per second
you carry a 114 tank
you carry 1140 rounds of paint and you still cant hit me.

why does it matter that it can take punishment unless if your a rookie and every 5 steps u drop ur marker or u just sit there with a hammer beating the crap outa ur gun

The gun stock isn't the best gun out there (but what Gun isn't). But you put a flatline and all those other upgrades on it you'l have yourself a gun that can kick ***.

spyder xtra stock is good, jt excell 3.0 is good stock

boomstick kicks the crap outa of a flatline. flatline has distance but the paintballs arent accurat enough at the extra distance it gives yo. its too bulky, its oh so ugly, boomstick is sxy. on a m98, my frined has both and he uses his boomy all the time

i don't know about you, but i play Tourney style ball and sliding into front bunkers can do a number on you marker

I guess it's a matter of your opinion, but if you don't have anything constructive to say about a problem someone has with a gun don't say. It's just wrong when someone asks for help and gets thier gun **** on. That's messed up.

You wonder why people hate tippmans and then you go and say that they can beat other peoples guns which they spent time money and effort creating. That is why people hate tippmans, because the owner are sometimes arrogant and stuck up, such as yourself, while I know people that own tippmans and are petty cool. You just put Tippmans down a notch in other peoples minds, and since that was not your intent, prehaps you should think befor your post.

It's not just that poeple are giving thier opinion it's that they makeing someones gun that they saved a long time for look like crap. I don't ever see anyone going around telling spyder owners to throw there gun in the trash. I'ts not dissing the gun it's dissing the owner.

Well according to you, I got my *** kicked by a flatline. I'd consider that an insult to the owner.

well,,to me ,,,i think every gun has its place. I mean, IMO i think that a tippman could play in a tourny. My friend has one with double trigger and a trigger job, he is getting about 11 bps. But then again, its not a very small gun, so might be better for a back player. Id prefer to use a tippy in a scenario game in the woods. These guns are very durable,,and would hold up to woods play. I hate to see someone make fun of someones gun, just because they dont like them.

Why I don't like the Model 98

Shape: way too long for me, I hate placement of the foregrip, I don't like the height or lack thereof.

Trigger- way too hard, even with a good trigger job it just isn't smooth. Just can't get it in a rythm.

Kick: one of the biggies, the thing is a beast at this.

Looks: IMO, fugly.


Why I don't like the flatline

When you snap shoot, you naturally tilt the gun to the side. With the flatline, the balls pick up sidespin when you snap shoot. The flatline makes the M98 as long as a shocker easily. The balls do not break as easily, my friend got 10 bounces off me in one game of 1 on 1. The flatline degrades accuracy, trust, it does, we did a straigth comparrison with a lapco bigshot and the flatline had a far larger grouping. And lastly, this is pretty simple, if you break a ball you are screwed.

But it is a good beginner marker.

i think dissing someones equipment is low class. even if you hate the gun, or whatever the item may be, i have respect for those who dont go bashing other peoples stuff. i even refrain from bashing BE stuff. sure its not high quality stuff but i think when someone tells you they own a talon or stingray giving a simple acknowledgement is better than "OH MY GOD YOU ACTUALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING FROM FREAKING BRASS EAGLE? YOU MORON!!!". at least they are playing paintball and enjoying it. this really had nothing to do with the m98 but oh well...

i can see if you cant afford it, but in my opinion tippmanns are not cheap. for the price of a tippmann with expansion chamber and everything else you could be a better gun.
