It was at my friends birthday party and we had all our guns and equipment ready to play a quick woodsball game. In the middle of the game I spot an outline of a person hiding out behind a small hut protected by chicken wire. It was to far away to notice that he was playing without his mask off(which was the most idiotic and stupid thing he could posibly due) since he was about 75 yards away. He saw me first and put me under serious fire, so once he stopped I let a three round burst. From that distance one of the balls went through the chickin wire and hit him in the top left corner of his eyebrow centimeters away from his eye. He turned out to be the birthday boy himself. Needless to say we didn't play anymore that day. I he would have been wearing a mask that would have been all the bragging rights i'll ever need sharpshooter wise.

He is VERY lucky. Did you guys yell for him to put his mask on after that? .... that is a very idiotic thing to do (play without your mask).

The way I read it, he said he was too far away to tell he didn't have a mask. But hey it's outlaw so who cares about safety.

If he didn't get shot in the face he probably would have continued to play paintball without a mask

hmm... if you beat his head in, it would be almost the same as him gettin shot in the eye, only he would prob be unconsious after the first few hits :P :freak:

Has the recipeant of the shot ever played paintball before? I had to reread your post to make sure you said that you couldn't see that he DIDN'T have a mask on. I bet that boy plays with a mask on now(if at all). Now I play outlaw ball, but I also have 16+ years of playing experience and am 31 years old(not that that really matters, look at the age of the Darwin award winners). Common sense (which isn't very common nowadays) should be :"hmm I'm going to play a game where we shot people, maybe I should protect my eyes".

Many years ago(some of the more seasoned veterans of the game can tell you) eye protection was whatever you could get your hands on, ie, shop glasses, welders' mask, shooting glasses, etc. The markers and fields didn't have established FPS limits like we do now.
