Junkyard Wars on TLC

The Learning Channel is airing Junkyard Wars: Paintball Tech at 9pm eastern time, Wednesday, September 18.

Apperantly, they are going to use junkyard materials to build powerful vehicles and paintball rifles to blast each other into oblivion.

Sounds like fun! Even if you think it's crazy, you should tune in just to see what crazy stuff they come up with.

Now, this is airing in Canada, but I assume the show is in the USA too.

yea, its showing in the US and canada, but I have DirecTv so i get it at 6:00 instead of 9:00. Why 3 hours early? I have no idea.
I thought about it for a while, and I think paintball in a junkyard would be cool. Hiding in busted-out cars, making portable bunkers out of old shopping carts and sheet metal, or turn a leaf blower into a bazooka. It can be done.:crazy:

I was watching Junkyard Wars on Monday, and they showed the commercial for the paintball one. It looked cool, i remeber seeing a bazooka or tank shooting like 8 balls all at one time and they 8 balls spreaded out hitting everything in like a 4 foot range. I think its gonna be a good episode, and Joe Tippmanns the guest referee.

Its tanks though so it can't be too good. But the thing i'm waiting for is the judges and the team exsperts!! Bob Long is a Judge and Some tippmen dude.

man, that was cool. in the 2nd round when the lil golf kart shor like 20-30 feet and nailed the target on the firemen, man that was nice. And I didn't know Joe Tippmann was a lil short asian man.

ok it can be revealed i just saw it and im on pacific time

it was pretty good, some things pissed me off, no masks when testing, no real pb guns but it's till cool, i aint snart enough to figure that out, but was a good clean game, good show, but that host pissed me off right befor they started the match. he shot the impy like a machine gun from the hip aaaaa! lol o well, better then some of the stuff here that ive been a participant in

Well, apart from the awful "no-goggle" staged fight at the beginning (where you could see the guy had his marker aimed directly at the woman's head), it was all right.

I never thought the golf cart would even be able to move, but it just shows my ignorance.

Cool Merrimack vs. Monitor sort of battle.

Those cannons were pretty cool. I predicted that the top-fed single barreled marker would blow everything out the top though - my fiance said "just like you said! How did you know?" - elementary, my dear. I was afraid the cannons would be firing dangerously hot, but I need not have worried - looked like about 150 FPS.

One and a half thumbs up!

ya, like in the beginning when he was running with his proteus and Imp, then we he saw the girl host just standing there. He pointed it at her face which had no mask. And then how he kept saying "Its War" or "Its war time"

Please jsut STFU about the mask. Oh yah, he'll shoot her with the air he doesn't have and the paint he doesn't have, right.

I have snapshooting wars with my freridn in his basment, no air or paint...we dont wear masks, oh no!

No offense or intention to be a wiseass, but, when the Monitor and the Merrimack fought, neither one moved until they both ran out of cannonballs and retreated. Just so you know. It looked like a game of duck-duck-goose at some parts, but otherwise, it was a cool battle. I want one of those tanks, man.
