I just got an expansion chamber for my m98 and to install the vertical adapter you have to remove the the hose from the valve and it's glued on! There is no way you can remove it! Why would this be?

If you are talking about where the gas line meets the receiver (between the grips) then gas line screws are on the right side of the receiver (opposited side as the other receiver screws are on).

If you are talking about where the gas line meets the ASA, then I am not sure how to help you out. I just got my 98C today, and (obviously) only know so much about its assembly/disass.
