I was at my local field last week (after just buying a new Teardrop barrel). I was a little worried how the thing would hold up, since a) people told me to get a steel barrel instead of a alluminum, cuz they're more durable and b) the Teardrop feels like a piece of glass (very, very lightweight).
Anyway, so I'm playing this one field, and making a mad dash up one side to flank our opponents. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was running, since I was more concerned about any opponents hidden behind bunkers. Suddenly, WHAM! I plow my marker, barrel-first, into a tree, hard enough to wrench the thing completely out of my grip.
After examining the barrel it didn't even have a scratch. So, I'm a little less worried about the durability of these things :)
