FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE NUVIS-1 GOGGLES:

October 24, 2000 - Raven USA is very pleased to announce the forthcoming NUVIS-1 Version 2.0. This newly modified version features many exciting options that have been highly requested since the original version 1.0 was released back in May of this year.

The new standard or upgraded features will include a visor/forehead protector, new larger cushy face foam, consistent 100% no-fog/condensation performance, more secure mask connectors just to name a few.

Prior to shipping the first Raven NUVIS-1 earlier this year the goggles were tested by an accredited laboratory and found to meet or exceed all existing ASTM F1776 safety standards for protective paintball goggles. However, in the process of an ongoing effort to increase player safety, several components of the Raven goggles have been improved or enhanced.

Raven USA and newly appointed CEO Arthur Chang feel it is important and necessary that every player with an older edition of the NUVIS-1 receive a replacement NUVIS-1 Version 2.0 with the many added benefits and features.

Customers should send in their older edition NUVIS-1 goggle along with their name, address, phone number, and the name of the store from which the goggle was purchased to:

RAVEN USA: NUVIS-1 Version 2.0 PROMOTION
14010 Live Oak Ave.
Baldwin Park, CA 91706

Dealers with remaining inventory are also eligible to replace their NUVIS-1 with the newer 2.0 version.

Raven continues to support ongoing efforts to make paintball safe and fun for the players. Additionally, offering a protective eyewear device that breaks old standards by offering the maximum level of performance and vision.

To better serve our customers, we have instituted a goggle tech and information hotline extension to answer any and all questions you may have. Please phone toll free: 877-467-2836 ext. 134.

100% no fog performance...now that's what I'm talking about...i fog up all my lenses! Does all this sound sweet or what?

My Raven's fogged up a couple of times ... once, before I got my visor, I was wearing a boonie hat, and the brim covered the vents, it fogged over totally. The second time, the humidity was very high and they fogged, and continued to fog that entire evening (it was a night game). Hasn't happened since then.

BTW, I ordered a new lens for my Nuvis last week. The sales rep I dealt with said Raven has put out a double-lens thermal for the Nuvis. So, if you're worried about fogging, just order the new lens.

ya...those b@stages at Raven shouldn't advertise it as 100% no fog then! Oh well, mine hasn't fogged yet...i had to order the new headstrap..you have to have a hella fat head to fit the regular quick release strap...how much is the new thermal? does it come in colors?

I purchased the single lens (which is also thermal) from Raven, with shipping, i paid about $25.50. Also, they only have clear lens. Of course, the single lens is photochromatic, so it darkens in direct sunlight and bright light.

Well I ware glasses and if I wear the mask up to high above my eye brows, them my glasses will fog, and hey if you wear the mask all the way up your forehead like i have seen some guys do, then yeah “duh” were do you think you sweat from your eyes? Pull the mask down for your eyes not your forehead, and you won’t be dripping all that sweat in to the goggle, and any time I have personally seen a Raven mask fog was because the guy has the sock or Bennie pulled down blocking the vents, who you gonna believe some one who backs up what they say like me, or a here today gone tomorrow poster. You can see our whole team has Ravens at http://www.mellowe.com/havocspawns.htm anytime.
