I have a Tippmann 98 right now, and I like it, but I'm looking for something with a bit more accuracy (and maybe some extra range). I'm getting a new gun, and I'm trying to decide what to get. I was thinking about one of the following:

Viper M1 Military= $289.95
WGP 2000 Autococker= $344.95

If anybody's fired either of them, I'd really appreciate some feedback. Or, if you have a suggestion for a different gun, please post it. I'll be playing only rec (in a woodlands area) and dont want to spend that much money upgrading, i want my gun stock for a while. thanks a lot

COCKER...COCKER...COCKEr...I DEFINITLY agree with Counterfeit. Personally, I think cockers have the most potential out of any gun out there.

The vipor is crap, and i fu bought it, ud need a package to go with it to shoot with. Its like 600 dollars for a military package, and it sucks. U can improve your m98 to make it more accurate, but if u really want a high end gun, go with the cocker, bottemline, and dye aluminun barrel

What is the difference between all the different kinds of autocockers? There are soooooooooooooo many! In terms of accuracy and range, is the WGP Autococker 2000 a pretty top-o-the-line gun?

hrmm..nope i would say the 2000 cocker is bottom. tehre's the free flow cockers, the Gen X cockers, FX cockers, STO cockers, Dye Cockers, DARK COCKERS, sandridge F5 cockers, shocktech cockers, and a whole CRAPLOAD of others.

Most of what is out there are custom cockers. the only 2 models made by WGP are the autococker (2000, 2001, 99, ect.) than there are the autococker sto's.

A cocker is like anyother gun. If you treat it right, it will treat you even better.

Okay, so would I be better off with the WGP Cocker 2000 than with a tippmann? I just want it to be a great gun stock, is the WGP 2000 (in terms of accuracy and range)? Thanks

yes, the autococker in my own opinion is a much better stock gun. It will be not better than anyother gun in terms of acuracy and range. That is because the gun itself will not determine acuracy. That is determined by the paint/barrel match you have. But the autococker will be much more consistant than a m98.

The autococker is much better than the viper and the autococker has great accuracy and runs on low pressure which is a good thing and the range i hear is very good too. Don't let the gun fool you when you first shoot it that it won't be that accurate b/c you just have to break in some of the parts, like a game or two, then your gun will be an unstopable NON ELECTRO gun.

What type of paint do you recommend? Would PMI premium give a good paint/barrel match? The only store near me sells a limited number of brands. Also, will the WGP Autococker 2000 run good stock on Co2? There is no place around to get nitro refills. Thanks

cocker will run good on co2, and i think that RPS premium will be a good paint/bore match.

Id keep ur model 98 and put a flatline or some other type of barrel on it. Put $100 more into upgrades and ull have a kickass gun!

If i get the Cocker 2000 from 800paintball, I'm gonna get a bottomline CO2 setup. What's the difference between my three options?
-SS Braided
-Micro-Line
-Macro-Line

Which would you suggest? Thanks

Macro line is definately the best. It is very easy to install, gets a better air-flow than micro and is adjustible unlike steel braded.

Will all of the lines be equally gas efficient (CO2)? Will the macro line allow for better accuracy?

P.S. Thanks for all you guys' help

The macroe line will allow u to run at a lower pressure because it is wider then both the micro and ss linbe. Also, an autocker runs better on co2 with an antisiphon co2 tank, so beofre u play for the firs time, id recomend doing that to ur tank at ur local pro shop

Okay, so overall, WILL THE WGP AUTOCOCKER 2000 PERFORM BETTER THAN GUNS SUCH AS TIPPMANNS, SPYDER, ETC. IN A WOODLANDS ENVIRONMENT(distance and accuracy-wise)? The place I play has varying terrain of hills, streams, and paths (Pretty much a paintball heaven). Will this gun perform better than the other guns when outside in this type of environment?
Thanks for input

yes an autococker will you perform a tippman, spyder ect. But NO GUN(with the exception of backspin) I repeat NO GUN will get better range. If they are all shooting at 300fps and have the same paint/barrel match they will have the same accuracy and will shoot the same distance.
