Maybe this question has been asked. Or this has been done before.

Has anyone polished the inside of their barrel before??

I realize that barrels are honed to a certain tolerance out of the factory, however honing can only go so far.

I was thinking of polishing my barrel with something like Mothers Mag polish to try and get a mirror or ultra mirror finish. Smoother the better. Less friction=less drag=better fps=lower psi+more efficiency

Anyone got any input? Ever tried?

Be careful what you use. Oily finishes= bad.

Use Rainx.

It will let you shoot clean, and reduce friction.

Don't actualy sand down the barrel, as that will screw up the bore, just apply the Rainx.
