Hi. I need help getting upgrades because i'm on a budget of at max,$140, not including the gun. Do you think these upgrades are good:

1. 12 inch teardrop
2. Tippman Vertical Adapter+X-core expansion chamber
3.Phsyco Ballistics Universal Dropforward
4.Full boar

Do you think it's worth it?I was thinking to get nitro after the teardrop. would that be good?
Thanks

First of all- Have you played with your gun yet in a real game (rec or speedball)? Don't even think of getting upgrades until you do, even if you've done a tremendous amount of research. Trust me. Also look at getting a good harness and a thermal mask if you don't have either first.

Ummm.. no, you can do much better for the money. First, what are your priorities? As for universal upgrades, you will need-

A barrel
A slot cover

I suggest the J&J Ceramic because it will serve you for years, and serve you faithfully. Then, later on upgrade to a boomstick or whatever.

The rocket cock is the cheapest, most effective slot cover. Unless you want rear cockingn (ugh) get the Rocket Cock.

The vert adapter and X-Core is a great choice also. I highly suggest it it, it is the most effective CO2 enhancer for the price.

Don't get the drop forward until you have some experience with the gun.

So, you're at a total of 35 for the barrel, 20 for the RC, and 45 for the XChamber and parts. That is 100 total right now.

With your teardrop (60), xchamber (45) , and full boar (50 with RVA) you'd be well over your limit already. Its not worth it.

So now you have 40 left to blow. You can get a motorized hopper with a few more bucks, dbl trigger, or something else.

A note on compressed air- DONT GET IT NOW! Its really not worth it as one of your first 5 upgrades. The reason is that you'll want the LP kit and a 68 ci unit (120+120=240). You'll also need a drop forward and reg for it (20+60=80). So to maximize nitro you'll need over $300. Don't even think about nitro until you have good equipment and necceassay gun upgrades. The only reason I'd say to get nitro is for winter and free refills if your field has an Air Compressor.

Do you think the J and J Ceramic is better than the boss progressive?

I've never used the Progressive series, but the difference is about $15. If it were up to me, I would still stick with the Ceramic because of its price/performance comparison. That $15 can come in handy when saving for a kick***** barrel like Boomstick, or other upgrades. Bottom line is the Ceramic's performance/price ratio is unmatched. And remember, use your gun at least once before you get upgrades.

J&J ceramics shoot fine, prolly as good as any other barrel out there. Take your pick, they all shoot about the same with the right paint match. And if you think your goin nitro dont bother with an x chamber, just get anti-siphoned tanks for now.

Another barrel you may want to consider is the tippmann gta sniper barrel. It should only run you about 40 or 50 dollars from the tippmann website, but strangely enough that is the best damn conventional barrel I have ever used. It is quiet as all hell and out performs the stock barrel, AA, lapco bigshot, and CP one piece. If I compare it to any other barrel near it's price range I guarantee it will win. The only barrel I would take over that is the flatline. Best damn thing since 4 hour VHS porn videos.

Also, the 10-20 dollars it would save you over the other barrel you could put forward to buying a full boar shadow instead of a regular full boar. Trust me, once you try the shadow you will have random orgasms every time you think about spam sandwiches.

the J&J ceramic is a good barrel, i own one. But i also own a Smart parts Tear Drop. And when it comes down to pure proformance, my tear drop wins everytime. The Teardrop just shoots better. plane and simple. They both seem to shoot through a break as well as eachother. So i say go with the teardrop, you wont be disapointed.
