Screw PBGear... PBGateway w00t!

I have some major props for pbgateway, and some major ... pissed off experiences... for pbgear.

Well I made an order wednesday, and had it overnighted so I could use it tomorrow. Well some things were backordered, instead of emailing us a few days later, they called our house and told us the problem, I changed the order a bit so all of it was instock, and they shipped it out overnight today with special saturday delivery. I was the ONLY person that needed to paly saturday, and they went the extra mile to make sure I had the stuff before I even left for the field! Amazing! They actually think about the players...

Lets see... now Pbgear... I make an order of ground, the stuff comes about 2 weeks later and I got an email 3 weeks later saying some stuff was backordered for months. Well I open the box and find all my stuff except the drop I ordered, I check the sheet with all the stuff that was sent, and it said they sent the drop... I frantically look around the box and the peauns... look around... can't find it. I call pbgear the next day, tell them my problem. They said "It shipped with the package, can't help you if you lost your drop in your house" What!?!??! I never even SAW the drop at all. 30 dollar drop, gone.

I also checked pbgateway prices vs pbgear (known for low prices) and pbgateway BEAT THEM!

Simply amazing.

pbgateway = amazing. I will be happy to grab my package tomorrow morning, and go play pb at splat attack :)

just buy local they but it on for you and you are helping your local store. I say if you buy over the internet you get everything you deserve. my 2 cents.

Yeah but my local store is kind of limited. I do try to support them whenever possible tho. I've probably bought the place 3 times over with as much paint as I buy:laugh:

Pbgear sold me my Smart Stainless barrel for $80... the next day after I ordered I discovered the price had dropped to $50.

So I called them and asked if they had shipped my barrel yet... they hadn't. I asked them if I got the discounted price? They said no, I said, what's the big deal? It's not sent yet, I want my $30 back! I'm sorry sir, it's just too much of a hassle to go back throuhg and change the price, you'll have to pay the original amount. My response? GRRRRRAGH!!!! *click*.... grrrr... I was so mad....

Now on to paintballgateway.... I ordered a ton of stuff for them, one item was out, they get it in two days later and ship my stuff priority mail, I get it 2 days later (I live in NH... pbgateway's in CA)... when I open my box, to my dismay my bottomline adapter wasn't chrome and I was missing my feed adapter and my volumizer :(

Well I give pbgateway a little ring and talk to one of the guys there. Very nice fella, we get EVERYthing worked out in about 5 minutes and he was really nice about everything.

They sent the items I was missing OVERNIGHT and discounted them hugely, plus they gave me some free junk....

In short... pbgear = bad.... pbgateway= SCHWING!!!!

Yeah, paintballgateway just sorta sprung up, I thought it was another pbgear... I ordered some stuff... and was amazed by their service. They are like those people, that just want their customers to be happy, if they ordered some clear pods, and a couple pods were green, they'd be MORE than happy to send the clear pods to them...

They sent it that special saturday thing, called ups up and had them try and get it before 10-9ish... and just did a fantastic job. again

Never order from pbgear, hopefully they will go out of business.! Whats also cool is Check It Products = Paintball Gateway, so they make their own stuff which is cool.

Paintballgateway = always has lower prices, better service, faster shipping, better service, better service... did I mention the service? :)

My friend ordered from there, he ordered some stuff and black medium JT proline gloves... well they ran out of those, so they sent some olive ones, and a few days later came a package to his house with some black ones. Very cool.

pbgateway is pretty good i ordered 300 bucks in cocker parts from them, no prob, except they sent me clear grips instead of black, but i didnt really care, but.......i live about 45min from pbgear.com:) , so i can drive there ask them for the parts i need, and they give to me i pay and leave, no waiting or hassle

but does gateway get stuff for you? i mean i've been looking for a pgp 2k1 and the only place that has it is pbgear, and all these horror stories i wanna try to find a more reliable place to buy from--

Well im both ways with this arguement. I have ordered tons of stuff from both sites. First, paintballgateway: they have really good prices and excellent service. Then pbgear: i have ordered more stuff from here then any other stores put together. I live in michigan and everytime i order, (i use regular ground ups) i get my package the next day. Also, for the thing about people saying their stuff is out of stock, it says at your order screen whether its out of stock or not. That is all i have to say.

I also like the outstanding service and prices of gateway. I ordered my pnumatics from them... (different parts) and they took the time to take each one out and oil it up all nice like and i live in new jersey and i placed an order on a friday latenight and it came a week later in a well packaged box.. man can you say styrofome junkies? Plus i love their service... great guys... just wish someone would start making tribal aftermarket parts and sold them on gateway cuz i would buy it definately... Now pbgear is an alright place half the time... you have to see whether your products in stock or not, plus their in illinois or ohio... one of them... but they have some very slow shipping.... i get my stuff like... a week after i order it.. when it should take no more then 2-3 days.... jerks.... plus they told me i was gonna get a free AVI catalog... which i didnt... soo i dont like them...

I've had succes with both places. You say paintballgateway has better prices than paintballgear? HA how can you say that! They both have lower prices on different things. I check both sites and get it wherever is cheaper. I have never had a problem with either place. Paintballgear has excellent costumer service, and well paintballgateway really didn't. The dude on the phone was like "heydisbepaintballgatewayhowcanihelpyastaday?" Both shipping for me is fine gets here in less than a week. I like both companies, both are great. Get from either one and you wont be dissapointed

im so pissed with pbgear i ordered a nitro tank like 3-4 weeks ago and its still not in yet and it says instock on the site man im so pissed from now on its gateway all the way or pbwizard there good too

I ordered a JT Excellerator 5.0 for my cousin a few months back,now shipping was quick(2 days IL to WV) but when I opened the box,the package to the gun was open and it was missing the bolt retaining pin,which does what it says.I searched frantically through the box only to find the invoice,which had stamped on it,ironically enough,"Checked for quality by Mike G." I couldn't help to laugh at that sadistic piece of humor....anyway,had to wait another week for JT to send me out the piece I needed,so I,not to mention my cuz,was pretty pissed.

County paintball is great. I love how they have their own forums and you can go in there an ask questions about products and they get back to you quickly.

compulsivepaintball.com is great. I placed an order by money order and sent it priority mail to them. The money got to them and they had it shipped out in 22 hours. 20 more hours later and i had the things i ordered. Thats 42 hours total !!!

I got my stuff in less than 2 days and i was paying by money order. Talk about fast.

Also, if you email them, they get back to you in an hour or two. Great guys

Paintballgear has always been good to me, and I've ordered from them 3 diffrent times. When you add it to your shopping cart it will say if its in stock or not, if it is you should have no problem.

All of you are shopping online in the wrong places. I have had problems with paintballgateway and paintballgear; however, thepaintballstore.com has been great. They have had fast deliveries, never missed an order, and have always been cheaper than the other two sites.

What "Problems" Have you had with pbgateway? If they sent you the wrong color item, it was most likely because the color you wanted wasn't in so they wanted you to actually have something to use.

i also had trouble ordering there. I ordered my tippmann 98c there by phone. When I called to see when my order was arriving at my house (it had been about a week and a half since i ordered), and they told me that they had forgotten to send my shipment out and they would do so the next day. I was like what the...

to make it short, don't order from there. youll save more money and patience buying it at a paintball store.

Well,I guess their selection IS a bit limited,but they do have good prices,great customer service,and fast shipping.I've dealt with them several times and had no complaints.
I'd like to support my local paintball store,but....oh wait,I don't have one.I play mostly outlaw,so shopping online is my only other option besides *shudder* Wally World.

If you wanna handle 100+ orders a day, package ALL of those packages, take phone calls every other minute checking if items are in-stock, dealing with the companys to buy from, dealing with people who complain about this crap, design new parts for guns, EVERYTHING, be my guest.

I agree that paintballgear.com sucks, I've had many experiences with them and not a one of them has been good. Getting cheaper items then what I ordered and still being charged for what I ordered was a big one. I've never been to paintballgateway.com, a friend of mine told me about buypaintballstuff.com so I figured I'd try them out, my theory was they couldn't be any worse than paintballgear.

To my surprise buypaintballstuff.com was amazing, there prices were pretty low and everything I ordered got to me fast and CORRECTLY. That was the big thing I was sick of getting the wrong things, but they got everything that I ordered to me quickly. I just gound pbgateway, and I'm gonna order either a steel or gold chameleon proteus on sun. and probably a red wgo hinge w/flame trigger next paycheck.

BUT, I like pbgear, I ordered my cocker and nitro from there, and I got 6 days later.
AND they have 4oz. co2's for $7.99, i think $7.99!! 4 OUNCES!! SEVEN DOLLARS! what could be better than that?:D

ive never had problems with anyone of the sites, but I would have to say countypaintball.com is the best. Great prices( tho a limited selection) and the absolute best costomer service. I had a few questions about an item, emailed him around ten, got a reply around 4 the same day. If they have the item, definetly order it there cuz you will get the lowetw price and personalized customer service ( I believe its just one guy running it). Thats my 10,000 pesos (which is about 2 cents i think)

over a month ago, i order it and it says in stock that day, just to make sure i check the next day and once more at night that day. then i dont check for 2 weeks, it says not in stock in those 2 weeks so i assume it was back ordered, but now it is in stock so my question is WHERE IS MY TANK!!!
