Hey since I broke my 500 hundred dollar gun while trying to put in a vertical adapter I was going to have to rent a gun this weekend when I was going on a paintball camping trip. But my friend has a TL he is letting me barrow. Is this gun any good?

well i have shutter and i think it performs pretty good. take some time playing with the trigger and you can get it goin real fast. right now i can get atleast 6bps on mine. i have had some people who think im using an elcd frame, i have a lot of people ask me to pull the trigger in front of them so the can see how i pull it. i think youll be ok with for your trip. good luck . . .

He may have something like a vertcal adapter on his gun, but it doesn't do any good. If you have a model 98 and you want to put a regulator, x-chamber, etc. on it, you have to buy a vertical adapter and install it. My bro had to do it.

Yah and I know tippy 98s don't cost 500 but with all the upgrades I put on it it does.

Hey I'm back and I don't know why all of you poeple praise Spyders. I used my friends and the gun broke down on me three times. The first time it started leaking co2 throught the barrelt I opened it up and the valve was loose somehow. I have no idea how that happened. The gun broke three orings in six games. It broke five balls and the hopper wouldn't stop falling off. I know that last one wasn't the spyders fault but I'm just trying to complain.

I don't know.. i'm admittantly tough on my compact 2000 and it has never broken down once. I play every two weeks and do 6-8 games a day. I had one O-ring on the vertical adapter expand too much, but thats the only one that I've had to replace. I keep it well oiled and clean it after every game and it works great.. I love the little bugger
Guesswho?

I think it is a decent gun! I love Spyders too, i have a compact 2k that i put another 200 dollars into it and it never broke down with me, not a single o-ring, except my tank o-ring, has broken, i think Spyders kick some major butt!

the quality on the gun depends on how u treat it and how do u clean it and... U can have a autococker and treat like crap and your friend as a well treated talon and it could work better

I cleaned it right before I went out. I cleaned it oiled it and swabed it I made sure it was in the best shape it could be. It still broke down.
