If i wanted to, could I attach the servo from my trigger frame directly to the revy motor to make it a intellifeed system? what would be the bad in doing this?

go to airgun.com and find how to hook up intellifeed to a automag it will give you some ideas, the only thing i could think of is attach some type od push buttin in your gun and everytime the sear hits it the motor spins

hmm good idea i gotta try doing that

I actually made an intellifeed hopper for my Black Dragun. Much like you may be debating, I had two choices I felt most likely to suceed. Either use the trigger's switch to close the circuit to the hopper, or add a second switch.

Just to rewind a bit, all three of my hoppers had fried, which was only three days before a tournament. No revys or other hoppers at the local shop, and none that I could borrow. I decided to gut a Ricochet 2k and make it intellifeed.

Now then, pressed for time, I decided to add another switch with two contacts, instead of soldering the two wires onto the switch and then filling out a grove in the grip panels.

It really depends on how much you're willing to permanently modify your marker.

Nice work, sounds pretty cool. My goal was once to hoot an electronic 3 way up to my cocker with a switch on it....I had a really cool design worked out until I realized that I loved my cocker too much to mess with it.

That's what my spyder is for...

thanks for the input. I have a new project in mind. I have a friend that is an electrical engineer. I am gonna try to get him to modify the existing circuit in my revy so it also acts as a reciever. Then I am gonna put a small transmitter inside the triggerframe and attach it to the switch. It will eventually be a wireless intellifeed. I have done small project like this before, so I think I can get it to work. I just have one question. Can I bypass the circuit in the revy completely? or does it contribute to anti-ball breaks and stuff like that if I try and still use it.

I think the board just limits it to 12v, if you bypassed it it would work the same but at 18v I think....not sure....

Hopper wise, all you need is the hopper shell, the motor w/paddle, wires and batteries. Since the board is basically for the feedneck sensor, those parts are no longer used.

If you by pass the board, you have a choice of either 18v or 9v, hook the batteries up in series or parallel and see which works better. I used a ricochet, which runs on one 9v, so I had no such issues to deal with.

well, my cousin gave me a pre-brass eagle revy, either 9v or 12v i'm not sure, but it has this little black box hanging the bottom that converts it to 18V. What would be the advantage of a 12V? would it just spin faster or what? Caus a 9V would save batteries :)
So basically I am just gonna rip out the old board and install a reveiver for my wireless system. I'll let you guys know if it works out :|

Um why would you "ghetto" rig a rico to intellifeed when it already agitates after each ball?

assuming your talking to sid, recall that he said all 3 of his hoppers fried. The circuitry didn't work in it.

alright, i'm gonna go buy the transmitter and reciever tomorrow. I found what I need online, but I think there is a local shop that has this kind of stuff so i'll check them out first. I'm also gonna do the ballwhacker mod cause the stock impeller sucks. I'll take some pics and let you guys know how it works out.

alright, i'm trying to hook it up. Sid, when I open up the trigger frame, the switch has a third connection that is open. What is this for? how do I set up the circuit. I would normally know, but the board to the trigger frame is confusing and I can't follow its traces...

I would like to see if this works, because my 12v revvy with a X-board doesn't feed right, ( my gun pinches all the time) and if it does I would want to do it to mine

I don't know about the transmitter... I just used a nice snap connector, but if you can find a place to stick it, cool.

As far as the switch, you'll notice the top connection unoccupied, don't worry about that. You need the two bottom connections with one white and one black wire. My initial reservation was that you have to peel/slide/cut back the black shrink wrapping around the ends of the wires connected to the switch. Also, doing it this way would also put 9v of power through the switch wires back to the board, and I don't know what effects this could have... it could blow your board. This is why I made a second switch with two simple contacts. At this point it's trial and error, but the two bottom connections are the ones you want. However, I would hook up one end of a voltmeter to the open connection, and the other end to one of the bottom posts and see if you close the circuit when you press the switch... that would be the ideal and safest way to do it.

I'd check the connections out with a multimeter first.

well, i before i read your post i tried that and it works fine. no blown boards. but one more question, if thats okay. what is the ideal input voltage for the board? the transmitter requires 5v to operate and i was wondering if I could use the same power source for both the transmitter and the board. as for a place for the transmitter, its not a problem. first of all the transmitter is only half an inch thick and about 1 1/2" long. Secondly i'm carving a wood grip to fit my trigger frame. I am just gonna make a groove on the inside for the transmitter. it wont need to be that deep.

sounds nice, can you post some pics if you got digi cam
