Should paintball be a x- games sport
Yes
No

NO!
X-ball maybe once it gets a few bugs in the format worked out.
paintball as it is normally played is neither camera nor spectator friendly. If the teams and companies involved clean up their act and if they work on the format a bit than an x ball type game could work well for the x-games. As things stand today paintball would cost the x games sponsors and viewers. We are talking about a successful buisness/ promotional venue here. paintball is not ready for the x games or any similar event. I don't think it will be for quite some time.

What are u talking about?!? YES! is the corect answer. Watching X-ball could teach things to young guns. Even if there are a few bugs.

Speed ball is fairly spectator friendly as long as you put up neting. I don't see why it shouln't be in the x games.

i think paintball should be in the olympics. If curling, horse riding and trap shooting made it in, then so should paintball.

OF COURSE IT SHOULD. People who shoot at kids like that probobly wont even watch it when its on X-Games, and IF THEY DO, that might get them to stop doing it. YES YES YES YES!

Yes X-ball should go with all of the other team sports in the X Games:rolleyes:.
Do you realize that the X Games are individual sports. Like snowboarding and skateboarding. Not too much team activity.

How many kids have you shot in the face because they went on to a feild with a scope and a spyder and said that they were going to be snipers. Paintball is the largest growing sport and getting bigger with out xgames. Also the x-ball sport is really boring to watch for the regular person who does not know much about paintball exsept that you shoot each other. I love paintball and love to watch games but at the rate it is getting bigger we do not need it for the x-games and also most people would rather watch some guy jump or a oversize ramp on a motorcycle.
I would like to than k WGP for making the best guns ever

pb on the x-games i think might actualy improve it. help it evolve faster ya know?
as for noobs running around claiming to be snipers, i dont think that has to do with anything if they're only being shown speedball and not woodsball. if they see how the pros work the field it might also help them figure things out. like how to move forward and out of the back bunkers. (which is always a plus even in the woods...)
the only drawback that i see is that when the public is only shown one aspect of the sport the rest of the paintball world is still back where it started. a couple of guys in the woods shooting at eachother with property markers. (rather expensive ones at that...) and if the X-games could figure out how to show that without all the BS that comes with it then great!

true i think the people in the woods, knee high in the mud and playing in the pouring rain should be reconised i do love the speedball aspect but i and most people started in the deep woods.
I also think that some towns should desiginate some public woods as paintball feild.

Paintball in x-games no. Pb on tv yes. I think xgames is more of a sports thing envloving somthing of riding on or something (snowboarding, skateboarding, rollerblading, bmx, ect) I feel as though Pb in the x-games has no value at all. On televison though just like sunday football would be fine though. It would be spectator friendly to have a field that is more of an opera stage so the views are above the actions, and could see everything. Put some plexiiglass and some netting and it would be fine. On the other side of the specators you could have the camera so it would be tv, and spectator friendly. I just don't find it as an x-game standard i feel pb is too high for that and should be a substitued for sunday night football. Problems that need to be solve are already said, cussing is a big thing in pb, and people do get upset at times (shouting, all the way up to violence between players). If they had a more noticable code to follow, with more respect as a proffestional sport those problems can be relieved.

heh, Big, paintball is just like hockey when it comes to tempers.... and a stadium involving paintball is possible, have the glass high enough and it would be safe. mask cams, gun cams and overhead cams, aswell as areana side. although, for sporting sakes i say points value with CTF and timed periods, and being shot out would mean a certain amount of time before being recycled. would make it more interesting to watch.
and X games is all about extreme sports, its kind of a shame that it doesnt include painball, as its the third largest extreme sport in the WORLD. (not to mention, if Dick Clark is working on it, its bound to skyrocket, anything that man touches turns to gold.)

Yes paintball is like hockey when it comes to tempers, but in hockey they actually have people on the team that can't play but just go out there to fight. Hockey would be no where without the fights and tempers. But then everybody sees a new game (to the media and specatators) and it envolves guns and bad tempered people. The two don't go together, and people would be called terrorist and it won't last. Xgames is home of extreme sports but i feel paintball is so beyond that, paintball is just life. Paintball just has to start with good grounds between teh media and the spectators that are a bit more iffy before they could act more inconsiderate (good word for it idk), maybe act up about somebody thinking they hit another person, because thats when everybody says, "Paintball is just a game of cheaters and crybabies."
So AFter a good ground is set paintball has the potential to be great. Maybe repalce every show on televeison one day;) , it could happen.

No, i don't think it's an X-games type sport. It's a team sport not individual plus the the people that watch xgames are comprised of both people who participate in the sport and spectators. usually the people who watch paintball are people who play because we understand the sport and appreciate the level of play. not just because it "looks cool".

:D Why not have it in the x-games??? Think about how much media it would get. Maybe if it were an X-game sport, people wouldn't be so against it and maybe they would understand it better.
I am all for good publicity in paintball. There is already too much negativity.:)

Fox Sports Net was good enough for me. All i can think about if paintball does make it on the X-Games is a bunch of new little kids running around with their "godly tippmanns" (i dont mean to offend tippmann owners, im jsut pro pmi)

Yeah that is possible. But don't you think that if it were an X-games sport, that they would only get the best to play??? Don't you have to try-out or something?? (I have no clue on how it works :D )

Yeah, but if paintball were in the X-games, more people would see it, and would see it as an organized sport between normal people instead of a bunch of terrorists running around (believe me, that's the view around here). Think about it, with NPPL tournaments and the like, only paintball players are really going to watch it, because nobody else would know when it is on. But, when you put it in the X-games, you have it during an event watched my millions, and a lot more people are bound to watch it.

I voted yes, but paintball really isn't an X-games sport. There are no sports in the X-games where people run around on their own feet. . . think about it, its mostly more well established sports that get national TV coverage where people actually use their own feet for transportation. Most of the X-games is bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, and such.
I think the X-games would be a great place to showcase X-ball though, have one weekend of play occur during the X-games, just to get some exposure. I think a lot of people would enjoy it. Paintball is like mountain biking, the events are filled with people who are interested, the events have huge trade shows, but when its on TV no one watches but those interested already. X-games would change that.
