This is a funny story that happened to me.

In my communications class I had to give a speech on something that I wouldn't have to do much research on. So naturally, I chose paintball. I created note cards and got pictures of various types of guns off the internet. Then i realized that I had never even asked if I could bring my paintball gun to school; I had just assumed that I couldn't. So I asked my teacher and she said that that would be okay. So, the night before my my speech, I packed every paintball related thing that I had in a bag. I brought it to school the next morning and stored it in the room, so that know one would ask me what I had in my bag. We ran out of time that day and I didn't get my speech done. I went to the room after school to pick up my gear. When I was doing that the teacher asked me if I was planning on giving a demonstration. I asked her what she meant and she said that she was wondering if I was going to shoot anyone. Then she said that she was thinking that she could wear grub clothes and that I could shoot her. I was really, really tempted to take her up on it, but I explained to her that in a little room like that it would probably hurt really bad. She seemed shocked that it could actually hurt. The next day I gave my speech and everyone pretty much stared on awe at my gear. I don't even have that much stuff. When I was done, people were asking me all kinds of questions and pretty soon someone asked me if I would shoot it. We set up a piece of tagboard to use as a target. It had a picture of a guy drawn on the other side, but they turned it around. I shot the into a little box that they had drawn on the blank side. Even with my All American barrel, it was really loud in that confined space. Everyone was oohing and ahhing and I was pretty happy. Then someone turned around the tagboard and I had shot the guy drawn on the other side right in his "private area"! So of course everyone decided to make fun of me a little bit, but I didn't mind. By the end of the day, the whole school had heard about my little shooting spree. People were asking me questions and I was getting people interested in the sport of paintball. It was a good day. I even sold my old Spyder Elite, which was one of the main reasons for my wanting to do the speech. I was afraid that the principal would find out whati had done, because the whole school was talking abotu it, but he never said anything to me. I even found out the next day that the school cop was only a few classrooms down when I shot. :D

I wish I went to your school...thats awsome, more people should read this story. The more people that get intrested in paintball the better, and a better place than a school? To bad I couldn't do that at my school, not even if I bribed the teacher...

I just finished my freshman year. The speech was in my communications class. If the administration at my school had known about it, they probably wouldn't have let me do it. That's why I didn't tell them. My communications teacher was pretty cool. There were a lot of other teachers that knew about it and didn't say anything either. Since I gave that speech I've had several occasions where people wanted to come out and play. There's even enough interest in my town now that we're supposedly getting our own paintball shop. I like ot think that my speech helped with this, but I'm not sure. It's going to be great because the nearest field is 60 miles away which is a long distance if you don't have your license.
