I'm tired of people saying back yard paintball is un-safe. Apparetly some people think that everyone that plays in their back yard's only use talons, and play
rock-paper-sciccors for a mask. So what do you think? Personly I think only feild owner's are against it, but there's only one way to find out...

Kinda matters how large your backyard is, if there are neighbours near. Lots of factors. I don't play backyard cause mine is too small, plus what happens if I run out of Co2? Game over.

As I said in the other thread, I always play backyard/outlaw ball. It can be very safe as long as you play with safe people.

that's very true. it's only as safe as real paintball as long as you play by the rules.

i voted its safe but not cool. its cool but nnot AS cool as an established field i like having actual bunkers and flag stations and everything but my bro likes it better than a field cuz "its more natural"

i live in michugan and heve many fields around me but was scared to paly against other people i didnt know so i biult 3 fields in my home town and started there i played there for about 4 months and went to a field and i killed most of the players it so finally backyard is cheap very safe very very fun and great paractice anyone who says different are just hating because they dont have a good backyard field

Yeh, it's like everyone said, it can be safe - if you make it safe, we play with about 6 people and just have either capture the flag or elimination, sometimes its fun, others its not, but I like it though cuz most everyone has the same calibur of guns and no1's gunna get blown away by angels

We've got spyders, something called a venom, tippmans, piranhas, one kid has a BE

Guesswho?

I only play backyard paintball! I think it kicks some major butt! And being unsafe??? If a kid shoots you while a game isnt going on, then you shoot him back! Thats why some errors on backyard paintball dont happen, people are scared of what will become of him after he becomes a all out jerk!

I've been playing backyard paintball for over a year now and so far no one has gotten hurt. So I'd say its safe and it'a alot of fun.

i think if you take the right safety precautions and do everything they would do at a real field, it will be very safe. my friend and i have a very large backyard field out behind his house, and it's just as good as any real field i've ever played on. we have 2 main tree forts at the end which are very sturdily built, and a LOT of bunkers for you to increase your angle on anyone coming in. we have a sign up when you first walk in that says "Keep goggles on at all times." Anyone who does not abide by it won't be able to play because it's unsafe. as for running out of co2 and stuff, well we usually all go and get it filled right before we play, so we can each get in about 4 or 5 games, which is a good amount because we play different scenarios like capture the flag and ambassador. all-in-all: it's fun if you want it to be fun, it's safe if you make it safe.

For everyone that says it's un-safe, give an exsample. I would bet that the case is very, very, rare. At my back-yard feild everything is safe, and I'm sure the majority of the backyard players out there are the same.

It can be safe, just depends on what you are doing, and you must ALWAYS consider what is going to happen when you miss? I play at my friends backyard and we have safe fun. In mine my neighbors get pissed when there are marks on their grill...

I have played a lot of backyard paintball, and it is very safe, u can just go to the house for any medical help, and u can do other stuff w/out goin everywhere.

most of my playing is at friends houses or at mine. i live around nobody so neigbors arnt an issue. our local field only has a game every other week and thats only if enough ppls show up to even have one but hes cool cuz he is always home and fills my tank and sells me paint for cheap. but we ususally play safe except for the duels and firing squads. if you tk or something *** you gat a firing squad on you. it happend before.

I am more afraid of the firing squad b/c u have more than one person shooting at u. and they get all the time they want to aim.

The only danger is where the paintballs go. If you dont have neighbors, or have a fence(a very tall one) then there is no prob with playing in your yard. Just watch your background, cuz your neighbors dont like it when you paint their house:)

i am gonna play some outlaw paintball this week because my local field is closed for 2-3 weeks becasue of new ownership :(

i have never played anywhere but on a real field (always indoors) so this will be a first for me.

It will be different, u now have to hide behind rocks and trees instead of plastic and air.

It all depends on the situation I couldn't do it because 1. My backyard is too small and has a pool 2. neighbors 3. my friends borrowed my guns and haven't returned them yet

I just got 42 acres and 9 of that is put aside for paintballing. There is only a church, not close at all, near the field, and across the street is the nearest paintball field, where i can refill anytime i want, and get stuff from there when i ask him to order it for me, then he will sell it to me, that is safe enough for me.

yeah we gots about 50 acres and theres all the neighbors woods around and they dont care if we play there so im not worried about hittin houses or anything. i guess it dependts on where you live as to if it is safe or not.

I mostly play backyard but sometimes I go to the paintball field. There is not much difference if you play backyard with honest people that play by the rules. It can even be more fun than playing at the field because we came make up scenario games and play them. I love playing outlaw paintball so much, I might get the paintball marker.

Its fine, not everyone has a field to play at. We made a field in my back yard and my friends and family play there every week and no one ever gets hurt.

If you think backyard ball is not fun or not cool try it.I play in the woods by my house there is 30 to 60 acres we play on there are 2 huge forts we built, there are even bridges, bunkers, and old deer hunting stands we use.My dad or one of use ususally ref.No one cares we play, one time we were playing and some cop went through the woods lokking for some missing dog and we shot him(by mistake). When he got shot he didnt even care.he even now plays.I went to a police station bought a ton of caution tape and put around where we play. Are teams are usually 5 on 5 or more. Not one person has every been hurt we all wear masks too.
