i only know what the sear and the striker are from the Spyder. The sear is teh metal silver part inside your trigger frame, next to your trigger. The striker is the hammer, that black metal piece that "connects" to your bolt. As for making them quieter, i'm not sure, but i know how to polish them.

the simplest way to do it is to take a fine grit sandpaper and polish the top of your sear and the part where the seat comes in contact with the striker. That part is the "indented" part of the striker. Then, you take chrome polish and polish those two areas. that's the basics.

Not really. The matrix doesnt have a hammer, because it uses a spool valve. And no electropnuematic gun has a sear.

well in a way they do b/c the wiring "acts" like a sear and makes the hammer engage.
