What can i use to clean my gun?

Hi i was wondering if i can use machine oil ( the type for sewing machines ) to clean my gun. I heard people say to use the official paintball oil but before i go for it i was wondering if machine oil can work becuse i have tons of it. Thanks.

as long as it's not petrolium based you should be fine... but if its petrolium based it will eat o-rings like there's no tomorow...
and it could gum stuff up...


just by some pb oil... its like $3.00... and it lasts a long time...
