IS THIS NORMAL

My friend just got a 98 custom and he still had the stock barrel on when we were playing yesterday he chronoed it and it was shooting 291 fps and the limit is 280 but the ref said it was ok and it didnt matter much.one of the games he let me use it and i took it out there and i couldnt even tell if a ball was coming out because they were shooting so fast i even had to shoot in front of me to make sure something was coming out but it was a cool gun and i got one of the best players at the field out with it. anyways i took it back and went over to check the speed and it still said 291 at the highest.i have a spyder tl+ and i have a smart parts progressive barrel on it and as soon as the balls come out at 280 fps i can see them is this supposed to be this way.

you see the build of the 98 is better(in my opinion). You put a expansion chamber and regulator the balls fly.

Yeah... tippmanns are designed better.

Not really, the over-under design allows for a far more compact setup than an inline setup like a tippman or Titan. How many high end guns are inline? none that I can think of. Not to mention, field stripability is great with over-under designs, and not so great at all with the inlines. Calling it better designed is just nuts

Yeah, and then saying that it gets more range because it is inline is even crazier.

I have a tl+ as well.They perform just as well as tippmanns ONLy when you get the upgrades.You need a x-chamber or a reg.,the new spring kit,and a barrel.
