oooh, that, well, i dont see why you would want to replace it...or how...or what diff it would make...even if u did replace it with plastic i dun think it would affect it much....

The inner rear bolt is simply a lightweight aluminum insert to lighten up the rear bolt. There's also a hole in it for the cocking pin. Mainly it is there to lighten the back bolt. To see for yourself take out the back bolt, and the inner back bolt, and put each in one hand. One is a lot heavier that's cause it's stainless steel. The insert is aluminum, and the bolt is stainless. Hope that answered your question.

that is one reason they did that and there is also another
they do it so you can remove it and replace it with the inner bolt of a rear cocker if you ever buy a rear cocking mechinisim then you will see that you must remove the inner bolt to put it in the rear cocker has one connected to it so it would work right

if you're referring to the full boar shadow (with flush cocking).. then.. that particular one.. replaces the whole entire bolt.. with it's own..

there is also another rear boar besides the shadow. Id recommend the shadow. very nice not getting whapped in the goggles.
