ok i've seen some impulses and like at the thing on the bottom where the c02 or nitro goes do u have to have that like gauge thing on it does it help the gun in any way just wondering i'm new to impulses

That 'thing' is the max-flow regulator, and you really should run it through a gauge, but you don't have to (I'd strongly recomend using a gauge, it's pretty much the only way to tell what pressure the gun's running at). But it comes with a gauge, so you really don't have to worry about it.

cause it looks pretty heavy with the maxflo regulator is there a thing that makes it so u can get rid of it?

You could take it off, but I can't see why. It's one of, if not the best regulator available. Also, it's not that heavy.
