What 'causes your marker to shoot out white clouds with nitro? With CO2 it's from the liquid Co2 flying out and the temp difference, but Compressed air should look just like air because.... IT IS AIR. So wtf? Anyone have any insights?

Come to think of it, I wonder that too.

maybe its from changing in pressure so fast from 3000/4500 psi to flying loosley in the air. . . beats me. . .

im pretty sure the air gets cold as it moves so fast through the barrel. Its like when u blow its cold wind.
i know this because when i was messing with my timmy with no barrel, paint, or hopper, it was real loud. So i stuck it under covers to silence the noise, and when i pulled it out the front of the gun was cold. its doesnt go through the gun cold though.

I have no clue but are you playing in cold weather or do u keep your tank in a freezer?

Most compressed air contains a bit of moisture. Thats why air compressors have tank drains on them because eventually enough moisture builds up that you have to drain it or the tank will rust through. My speculation is that what your seeing is a bit of moisture firing out with the air coming out of the tank, this would be especially true if the humidity levels were high the day the tank is filled.

Jay man, That's probably it, makes perfect sense actually. There's been a recent heat wave, and the place has it's own compressor so they fill their own bulk tanks. That, and I'm noticing it now that it's summer, and not in the winter. Very clever :)

I think I learned this in chemistry or physics or something... im not even sure this should be here. Anyways... there are 3 states of matter solid liquid and gas. The states are determined by how excited the atoms are and the pressure exterted on them.
for example when you boil water you excite the atoms and make it expand h20 turns into gas, or water vapor.
so if you do the opposite, put a lot of pressure on a gas it should go the other way or back into liquid form, but since it isnt that much, it probably only gets into steam... so you get a little white cloud in front of your marker....
I could be wrong, or just talking out of my butt... but thats what i think...
