what's the best barrel for a tippmann 98c besides the flat line?

depends on your price range. For $100 you can get the best barrel i have ever used, the Aradus. I will be glad to give you more info if needed (its a rather fancy barrel).

For around $40 you can get Smart Part Progressive, and for around $50 you can get the step up from that, the Teardrop. They are both very very good.

Orrr, if you dont have that kind of money, you can find a CP for 30 (or used to) new and that performs extremely well. You can also find J&J ceramics for 35 or so and they are great.
