What are ALL of the steps needed to convert to true LP on my rebel?

Thanks!

Hmm, this is what I know of. High flow va, regulator, spring kit, high flow bolt.

see the sticky at the top of kingman. Rebels and spyders are somwhat similar.

Okay, maybe I will go LP.

But here's another question:

I am planning on making my rebel very nice and here's the stuff I'm doing to it:

32* Magnaport Valve (How much difference between stock?)
Palmer Stabilizer (For my CO2)
Custom Drop Forward
Rebel 45 Grip
Zap Mach 404 Hopper

Is this nice enough for a local tourney with tippys?

If not, what else should I get (NOT ANOTHER GUN! My rebel is great to me)

thats pretty good, what about a barrel?

jaredu

I've already got one...CMI Tru-Flight...

But I think I'm gonna get a different one...

Any recommendations?

Oh, by the way....

That Palmer Stab.....What type should I get? Male, female, direct?

Magnaport.....How much performance over the stock valve is there? Or should I go for a AKA Tornado Valve?

if you have a VA then get the male.

And Aradus or Teardrop would be a good choice in barrel.

And a magnaport is useless unless you have a high-flowing VA.

I tried to see how to get the valve out of my rebel and there's a pin on the side...Well, it won't come out! 32* messed up so maybe some gun technician at my field can fix it sometime......

I have a V/A, but I am wanting to just get a gas-thru grip and then putting the reg where my drop is. Can that work? I am also wanting to get a guage also...What type (low or high pressure?)

to put a reg where u want u will need a female stabn and mounting bracket

Okay, I'll just get the male...I have to get a macroline kit right? 2 Straights or 1 90 and 1 straight?

Thanks

What bolt would you suggest for the rebel that quiets it and increases accuracy?

Well, this might be just me, but I wouldn't bother tricking out your Rebel. In my opinion, you should just buy a new gun like an Impulse or Autococker when you get the money.

I have a trickout, LP Pirahna and although a good starter gun, I'm wishing I had that money now.

as for the macroline it depends on your ASA and your reg. If your ASA has a hole in the side which i'm assuming it does, you'll need a 90 and then i'm not sure what the stab would need but it doesn't matter as microline is pretty flexible.

and bolts don't really have anything to do with accuracy, sorry. the only bolt that will help at all is a delrin bolt. they don't need to be oiled, and reduce noise, and some i've been told reduce blowback.

hope i helped :)

sounds ok but get a different hopper. That mach isn't that good. I suggest a revvy. They are fast and inexpensive comepared to other ones. I think revvies are very good but they do get a TON of mixed reviews. But still get a 12 revvy with x board so then you can keep it if you get a better gun.

I was going to say that!!! well, he beat me to it.

also, a delrin bolt is really the only one that will help.

also, i agree w/ whoever said that the magnaport valve will NOT matter unless you have a high-flow VA

AND.... I agree w/ whoever said to just buy a higher-end gun. I should've done that... (however, i slowly added to my gun, little by little, over a year, adn I've gained TONS O' KNOWLEDGE from it...)

Well, if I could get a new marker, I would, but my parents have already stated that I am not allowed to get any more markers because I usually just get another one...So I'm gonna stick with the rebel since I've had ZERO problems with it.

Oh yeah.....
Certain bolts do help accuracy by pushing air through the bolt and by hitting the ball in a more evenly distributed manner....I've read that before.

Edit::::I'm getting a 12V revvy instead.

jaredu

I don't want any high-end marker because all of the markers around here are the tricked spyders/pirhanas...No rebels yet...Yeah, there's tippys, but I hate them.....My team is going to revolutionize the tourney world by bringing our rebels/spyders/pirhanas.....Well, maybe we'll just have some fun!

I mean...It's always fun to get more parts for your marker and just sit there, put the parts on, and drool over it....It's great.

1. Good for you with the revvy. I love mine its great.
2. What's wrong about Tippys. My first 'working" gun was that and its great, reliable, accurate, very upgradable.

I just think they're too over-rated...That's IMO

The delrin bolt is.....

Top or rear-cocking?

go to here and check it all out (www.whitewolfairsmithing.com/prod02.htm)

The WWA bolts are rear-cocking, you just need to buy an autococker cocking rod for them (or anything else that's 10/32" threaded)

aas for bolt helping accuracy they dont at all who ever said that bolts do can get my lecture on accuracy. so they lie dont belive them. rebel ......... reg, a barrel with light porting, valve (dont get a 32*pos valve), n2, e frame, new VA (for looks get a check it 15*), new hammer (if u want totally tricked) and what evre u want if want just lp get the reg barre,l valve, n2, (if u want to use co2 get a palmer male and a female) gauge, and a chrono to test if its efficent

I'm not going to go LP.....I'm just gonna trick it out....My list is above and in my sig....I am getting the palmer stabilizer male....That needs macroline right?

thebluenu
10-19-2002, 03:54 PM
macro line or a stainless steel hose will work, tricking out your rebel is all about going lp for less noise then the already quiet THWWWWAAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKK the rebel already has....

i recommend working on your consistancy, lower the pressure down to around 400 with lp internals (or whatever) and using a palmer male and female stabilizer to double reg..... its sweet - then again, u can buy a higher end gun......

LP will come later.

They don't

but they do increase cycle speed, increase consistency, and are lighter which = less gas (small, small amount...) and they're great for general bolt replacement.

Let's say that with all of these upgrades on my Rebel (and including LP) and possibly either a really short trigger job or an electric frame would this be able to stand up to any local tournaments....My friends and I are thinking about joining the ICC Rookie league and want something that we think we can do in reliability wise....If this isn't a good choice, what is that is within $200?

Edit::::::I don't really want to buy a new marker because of the fact that I've put my time into the rebel and I don't just wanna throw it out for a new marker...

If my rebel is not sufficient enough, what else should I purchase?

werty7373
10-19-2002, 05:38 PM
for two hundred i would say a flash or spyder electro for tourneys. maybe a cheap vert cocker with nothing on it. maybe an upgraded spyder some

jaredu
10-19-2002, 05:40 PM
Well, my rebel is considered a spyder due to its exact internals....So I guess that my upgraded rebel will be as good as a spyder....I guess...

thebluenu
10-19-2002, 05:41 PM
well, dunno, good luck on your gun though - lp is about your last optoin (besides closed bolt)

jaredu
10-19-2002, 05:43 PM
And there is no way for me to get closed bolt right?

jaredu
10-19-2002, 06:43 PM
I am thinking about getting a guage instead of the delrin bolt....What kind of guage should I get (low or high) and what else do I need to get to hook it up to my Male Stab.?

mikek2111987
10-19-2002, 06:58 PM
If you have a Va already then just macroline fittings and macroline (or SS hose) and a guage.

BourneKiller

Go here (http://www.deadlywind.com/rail.html) to check out how to make your Spyder closed-bolt

It's the Deadlywind RAIL Mod (RAised Intelligence Level) and it makes it like an autococker. I dunno anything more that what you'll find on the webstie about it.

mikek2111987

i would use your money towords other things then the RAIL kit. It doesnt have that many advantages, but it does have some.

I defintaely agree, but I just wanted him to know that it IS possible to "close the bolt ony our spyder."

I wouldn't spend that much money on that, just buy a cocker. :D

I am getting a Black Dragun this week! I can't wait!
