Hey guys, I currently own a stock M98 and I got rid of it. Now I'm looking for a slight step up. The JT Excellerator 3.0 got awsome reviews from everyone who has tried it (pbreview.com) I also hear the spyder aint that bad either. I need help in deciding. Please do not vote unless you own\shot the gun yourself. Thanks!

SHUTTER, NO CONTEST! the JT is a BE gun with JT written on it instead of BE. brass eagle bought JT last year. i would definately get the shutter, its a WAY better gun.

Venom^^

It wouldnt matter if BE owned WGP, if the product is quality and people review it as awsome then why would it be bad. For example, FORD owns Jaguar, Jaguar is a better car then Ford. See what Im saying.
Can anyone who owns a the Excellerator 3.0 , Shutter or other mid priced semi give me some insight on them.

okkk i have the JT Excellerator 3.0 and hasn't this been brought up? What goggles do you have? Theres a good chance its made by JT. Now wait, I don't like BE Goggles, so should I say JT goggles suck? NO! Don't be stupid, you haven't used the Excellerator, so don't rate it. I got it after some great thinking between the Excellerator and Shutter, but was greatly impressed by the fact that the Excellerator 3.0 got 18 reviews- all 10.0's!!!! So obviously the gun rocks, but let's review:

-Hugely nice straight-shootin' stock barrel
-NEVER breaks paint, so far i've used about 200 rounds of BE (I know, THEY do suck), 1/2 case marbs, and 2 cases of PMI Premium's. NO breaks yet.
-Price F'N Tag. For under 200 you can get a Excellerator Set up, and lets see, how much is the Shutter? for what??

Now, lets look at the similarities/differences:, of each:

Barrel:
JT- Good
Spyder- Get a new one first thing

Price:
JT- 150
Spyder- 210

Paint-Breakage:
JT- NONE
Spyder- Average, not bad.

3.0 Doesn't have the X-Chamber, but if you spring for the 4.0, it does, along with the regulator, but Shutter's doesn't work anyway!

SO THERE YOU GO!

I just got the JT last week.

This is my first marker and I am fairly happy with it.

I shot about 800 balls in four ten minute games.

I got my first 8 kills ever and had a great time.

The biggest problem that I have with this gun is that it shoots so fast that I can't afford it!!!

The gun shoots straight, but the short 8 inch barrel makes it tough to long ball from across the field.

The gun is very well made and very compact.

One thing to note is that JT does not have replacement parts out for this gun yet. It is only 1 1/2 months old!!!

The grip is compatible with a Spyder bottom line, but I couldn't get the Steel tubing to fit into standard 90 degree elbows when I attempted to but a psycho ballistics drop forward on my JT. The threading on the steel tubing appears to be nonstandard.

I actually think the marker looks great without the beaver tail/sight rail. The stupid beaver tail scratched my new JT Proteus Goggles!!!

The gun shoots great, but my first upgrade will be a barrel.

I'm looking at a Freak, Big Shot, Equation, or a Boomstick.

People have said that the JT has enough power to push a 16" barrel but I am skeptical.

I'm told replacement parts should be available in 1 month and upgrades available in 3 months.

The gun was cheap and it did the job. At $150 your exposure is rather limited. If you really do not like the JT, which I doubt would happen, you can always get a Spyder for $200.

I was impressed with its ability to keep up with fast firing and its lack of ball breaks.

An Expansion Chamber would have been nice, but I expect that you can get it later from JT once they have upgrades.
