View Full Version : Barrel of Choice

Assuming that a longer barrel gives greater accuracy and that I can choose from both stingray and Spyder barrels, which barrel should I choose? The Razor Spyder barrel, the J&J Ceramic barrel, or the Big Shot?

Its either between the J&J or the Lapco Bigshot. The J&J is very accurate and quiet. The lapco bigshot is pretty accurate and is an all around great barrel. The only thing between the two..I think is that the Lapco Bigshot is alittle loud but quieter than a stock barrel. Plus who cares about a barrel being to loud.. When your outside you can't really hear it that bad anyway. They are both in the same price range. i would recommend a lapco bigshot since it was recommended by many others to me.

See the thing is that I still have the standard stingray 6" barrel and I'm lookin for somethin to significantly quiet it down other than the ball detent.

I just found a Dye Xcel spyder barrel for like 50 bucks so now I may get that because I 've heard that they are a good quality barrel.

Ya Iheard about the dye excel its a pretty good barrel. But if you are gonna pay 50 dollars for a Dye excel than you might as well get a Lapco Bigshot or J&J Ceramic or even a 32 degrees barrel(Nytestikk or terminator) Smart Parts progressive is also a great value barrel that is pretty quiet and accurate..

The excel sucks compaired to a bigshot. You can find a $50 bighsot at http://www.paintballbarrels.com and they dont charge shipping.

yeah the bigshot is REALLY good with accuracy. I have a JJ Ceramic, and ifeel taht's a good barrel too.

Get a j&j ceramic barrel at shop4paintball.com, they have it for 43 bucks. I used it for the day one time, and had no complaints. or u can get a custom products barrel, ive heard good things about those too, but i dont know how the barrel adapter is going to affect the performance. Tahe big shot wont reallyt quiet ur gun, so dont get that.

the barrel adaptor shouldn't affect accuracy that much, or not at all.
