hey sorry about the noob questions, I am new to pballing and don't know a lot about it yet, but hey, what is this forum for! lol Well anyways I wanted to know what the difference between a blowback marker like a tippman, spyder etc and autocockers, angels, mags (I don't really know what cockers, angels, and mags really are so an explanation would be nice) Thanks, it would be really helpful for when I am reading I know what the heck people are talking about lol!

go to durtydan.com it has pretty much anythign you'll ever need to know.
Oh, and by the way, the difference between cockers, angels, mags, etc. and the lower ends like spyders and pirhanas(curse that name) and tippmans is that the high ends have a much different system, with shooting and whatnot... um... I'm trying to put it in simple terms. oh well durty dan does that well enough. anyways the high ends shoot faster, but are also high maintenance and not really very good newbie guns.
By he way, if you haven't already gotten a gun, DO NOT, under any circumstances, buy a Brass Eagle(that's the crap you find at walmart). they suck. Oh, and be sure to avoid PMI, that is, pirhana, as well. I own one, and trust me, you don't want to, unless you plan to upgrade. I reccomend a Spyder or a Tippman. Especially Tippman. do you play more woods or speedball?

Lol I know not to get a brass eagle and I would be split evenly between woodsball and speedball, yeah I would get a tippman but it seems like everyone has one lol

haha yeah man I know everybody's got one... that's only because they rock. Anyways, the things are so stinkin customizable that you can pretty easily make it your own. for a fee. Trust me I worked on m98's all summer at a field and played with them. They'll get things done, and with a couple mods they can decimate. I suggest the model 98 for both woodsball and speedball, but the pro\carbine is good too, though the trigger pull's a bit rough(this can be fixed). Basically, it depends upon whether you prefer the feel of the tommy gun(m98) or the rifle(p\c). Still, it's your choice, and you can get a spyder if you like. Just avoid autocockers for a first gun; they're very, umm... moody. Tippman's the most reliable of guns. And steer clear of pirhana, I can't say that too many times.

Sounds like some one had a bad experience with a Fish.

They are not that bad. Every company has a "Bad" one get through now and then, don't bash an entire line because of one bad marker.

I think you should also state that stock Tippman barrels are the worst out of the three.

hahaha yeah maqn this is true. Still they're mroe durable. I suppose it depends on your tastes; I think tippys are good woods guns, but somebody else might not. It's all good.
