I was wondering if any of your fields out there allow full auto on the speed ball field? Mine did untill we had a little incident.:(

this newbie decided he wanted to play speed ball with the big boys.....an experinced player bunkered him and unloaded about fifty shots on full auto about 80% of the shots hit the guy....he sued the player and the field.....no more full auto for me:(

this was in 99.... most speed ball fields would let you use full auto then.

My field will let you use full auto on the bigger fields but not on the speed ball fields, unless everyone agrees to it.

yeah i think full auto is pointless and unfair to the other players..anyone can just hold down a trigger and spray

when they played full auto they only played full auto games. that meant that maybe one game a day would let all the people with full auto play a game of speed ball. semis werent allowed to play in the one full auto game a day.

Using a semi or a pump allows you to control what you shoot, makes the game a little more challenging. You become a more conservative player, at least where shooting is involved. You can still run full-bore Crazy at a bunker, but you choose you shots better.

Sounds like that guy shouldn't have had an electro. Control of your trigger is the first thing you should learn and if he couldn't control the amount he shot then he deserved anything that came his way. You don't need more than one shott on a bunker (2 at the most).

When you have the power of an electronic gun, it becomes important to use alot of discipline. It's easy to rip out 30 shots at someone and hit em with most of those before he gets a chance to move, so you need to be careful on the trigger. Going full auto is not being careful. Unless you can control when each and every shot leaves the gun, you arent going to be able to keep track of how many shots you're firing. There are situations when 15 shots are appropriate, and times when 2 shots are appropriate. With full auto, you're using high volume in all situations, which is inapropriate, and takes alot of the fun away from the other people. I use 3 for a bunker btw. I've had 2 bounce before :)
FULL AUTO? That just scares me! How much paint do ya need to shoot someone? It only takes one shot! FULL AUTO? dangit there should be intensive training classes and certifcation involved!!!! How unncesarry is full auto? Talk about a waste and excessiveness!

I am sorry but in my opinion I don't care if someone has a full auto or not I am not intimidated or scared by one and if someone decides they want to rip on me with full auto after the third ball hits buddy I am coming back to open up with my cocker or my pirahna don't matter 9 bps will make em ease back off that trigger.Lets face it it doesn't take a genius to figure that 1 shot was enough 2 for good measure three crossed the line. I play outlaw ball all the time and manytime we play free for all no ones ever out however in our circle of friends a simple STOP! brings the game to a screeching halt but I have had instances where in close range I have been opened up on and instead of crying after the 3 shot I tore into them as well they eventually retreat after a few balls hit them...Ok enough of that my point being that someone who shoots 14bps on full auto is the same guy who tore you up with 9bps before his electro gun and regardles this player is obviously ignorant and if I played on the same field as him and it became a constant issue he would not only know how well his marker fired but how good it tasted through his mask as well (like being a roofer you piss someone off they knock yer @$$ off the roof problem solved same concept smaller scale)

i'm ok w/ 3 round burst but full auto stresses your gun way to much, and i'f you need full auto to win, have you really won? give em all a a pgp, 5 12gs and 10 tubes, who wins now eh?

imo, three balls hittin you is really not that much, cause lets face most of the time when you see someone runnin to a bunker or somethin like that your not only goin to fire one shot at him, your goin to unload a string of paint in his general direction and most of the time your gonna hit him more than once when you do this.

Most people actually use 3 for bunkering, I wouldnt really call it excessive

well my point being is there is a difference between layin some paint down and just coming after someone with malicious intent to drill them fast and hard.I know I have seen someone at a distance run for cover and I sent 8 balls to chase him down and thre of the eight hit him but as soon as the first hit him I stop firing on him and the intent was never in a malicious manor and you all know what I mean when I say that cause I am sure most of you have experienced it at some point and if someone has a gun that fires 9bps or 14bps whats the difference as long as the player plays resposibly with whatever gun he or she may have whats the difference lets face it an automag RT is claimed to one of the fastest firing semi autos around and can achieve more than 14bps with out full auto so what difference would it make if the player had an RT or a angel
same rof (appx.) there is no difference but the player behind the gun is what creates a hazard.

what about the medic bills for your trigg finger after shooting an rt 14 bps for more than 1 sec?
A damn fool

full auto to me just sems like something that people need because when they take one shot, they cant hit them, so ned a whole stream of them to hit them. I think 3 shot burst is good, because when firing, i shoot about 3 eacht tiem, so that would be good. I think tht guns that are made with triggers liek that should have the full auto trigger takne off, but electric triggers are still ok. If u really want to shoot 15 bps, then u shold be able to move ur finger that fast, not have to pull it once, thats just be a lazy palayer if u ask me. Just my 2 cents.

if you come to me and my friends feild and your tha lazy you get 2 warnings about over shooting, then you are not so nicely asked to leave

at my field, no one plays with full auto, cause non of has it, we have our own field in our woods, and we dont haev that kind of rule, but if u overshot, sucks for u, cause we play hopper ball unless theres a lot of peopla, like 10 on 10.

Yeah, I've got my trigger down to a mouseclick, and when alot of people fire my gun, they accidentally fire a second shot just because the tiny bit of recoil is enough to jolt the trigger and fire a second shot. Ref got mad at me once and thought it was burst fire after he tried it, I had to shoot about 20 single shots to prove to him I was in semi, damn refs

yeah what do we need refs for?..........oh yeah

Richy you dumbaz, Refs are those guys you shoot when you're having a real bad day and cant hit anyone else. Then you blame it on one of the rental kids and be like "Stupid rental kids dont know nothing". Gee, I thought you knew why we had refs

I think the full auto is the same as ROF issue. With Rts, Shockers, Angles, and the like, you can easyally get to the same amount of paint in the air. Most people that have the full auto guns are quick enough on the trigger that it does not matter. Some people can even shoot faster in semi. It always seems that the out gunned players want to limit the others. I used to use m98. On a speedball field it was down to myself and another person with a compact 2000, against two RTs. We just didn't have the fire power to keep them down. That is when I descided to get a Shocker. I only use it on semi but I would not have a problem with someone wanting to use auto. I'll keep up.
