Is it safe to store c02 at room temperatures for 'long' periods of time, so far I've stored mine for 2 weeks. Is this bad for it?

ya if you store co2 for a long time....it turns into co3........that is bad.......lol j/k
as long as your burst disk doesn't blow....there is nothing wrong with it.

It's fine, but don't heat it or let it get heated, mine have gone a 1 month

No I just wanted to make sure that leaving the C02 in the container for a long period of time might cause it to rust or become weaker. And yes I thought maybe i was supposed to put in in the freezer, I mean I hadn't been to concerned about it. And you shouldn't be calling this a stuiped post. Atleast its a serious question, I mean if it was one of those 'Hey I'm an *** who wants to get their posts up real high' then i could see why you would say that.

heat would actually help the co2 because it'd turn into air. Thats why people say co2 is bad in the winter.

yeah, even though it is good for the CO2, it might end up bad for the tank, if it expands too much, it will set the burst disk off

Back off, you're the one who made countless posts on Why do pimps where jerseys. Savior is cool, but all you do is make fun of people and then do the same thing you made fun of them for. It was a ligitiment question, and unfortunatly you came into this thread.

Take basic chemistry or just trust this DEGREED Chemist. For air you need nitrogen, some noble gases, etc. And there is ont enough energy to break the CO2 bonds and reform them into O2 and then you would get carbon build up in tank. Anyway stay safe.

I think he's been breathing too much "air" out of his car's tailpipe :D

Not to sound rude, but I doubt a chemist with a masters degree would be in a paintball forum with the name PBJunkie. Every last detail of that sounds scrupiable. Now if you know about co2, then that's one thing, but I wouldn't go claiming anything online unless you are prepared to back it up. I personally would accept a drivers liscense and a picture of you receiving the diploma.

I just started playing again. My old co2 tank still was still full after 5 years. I was a little suprised.

A challenge there huh Dog? You are on. Now I never saud I had a masters but I do have a Bachelors in Chemistry. I agree the post came off a bit snooty and I apologize for that and the caps were over done but you will see a pic of me receving my Diploma tomorrow and the DL we will see. But you are on! Good naturedly of course

Edited because with a college education I still can't spell worth a damn.

Geppy on a safety note check about needing to get the tank rehydroed. That old you may have to buy a new one!

Like everyone else said, it's fine to keep the tanks at room temperature. Just don't let them get way too hot, or they'll bust a burst disk.
I have a friend who filled up his CO2 tank about 3 years ago and then put it in between his legs while he was driving home so it wouldn't roll around. I guess they overfilled the tank a little bit, because his body heat was enough to blow the burst disk. CO2 came screaming out right into his groin with enough force to propel the tank out of his lap into the passenger seat. I'll bet his privates were frozen solid.
