If I'm shooting a .687 bore barrel, what would be better, to use .686 bore paintballs, or .687 bore paintballs? In other words, should the ball be the same size as the barrel, or should it be smaller?

you should actually use one size larger than the size of your bore

that is what i always heard becasue it fits nicely and you don't have to worry about the paint rolling down your barrel
i use the size for my barrel
i would use allstars for a small bore barrel
pmi premium for a medium bore barrel
nelson paint for large bore
they all don't cause breaks on the gun
they will never cause a double fire

well when the paint is fresh and round i shoot a size small because it gives better consistency but when the paint is either dimpled or the weather is wet i shoot it a size large
THANK GOD FOR MY FREAK SET!

I've heard that you should be able to blow the paintball out of the barrel like a blowgun and that you shouldn't. Wich is right?

well the best way to check is to put a paintball in the end of a barrel
then you blow the ball through if ya turn blue in the face then its too tight, if the ball falls through its too loose
you should be able to blow lightly and the ball should go through the barrel thats perfect fit
