well LPRs are like tapeworms only better, I don't really know how to explain it(technically) but they can make it so you can dry fire and get your consistency up

it's never good to dry fire your gun... puts a lot of stress on the internals

A note about dry firing...
DON'T!
Air guns (all air guns- not just impulses) are designed to use the back pressure of the projectile (ball) to help "soften" the end of the travel of the conponents. Without that "air pillow" the insides of the gun come to a crashing stop at the end of their travels. This puts a lot of extra strain on the insides.
It is VERY SIMPLE to avoid problems- and make things safer as well. simply put a bqarrel condom on the gun and pull it as tight as you can. This will trap enought air to help soften the end-travel and if something happens to get into your gun, it won't come shooting out the end.

there was another thread similar to this, the conclusion of the thread was, "dont dry fire if you dont have to" - if you want to play around, go ahead, its not gonna kill your gun, but keep it to a minimum.... and be warned..
