whats the deal with pmi premium paint.......?

i don't know what is so special with the new pmi premium paint it just a has a new shell and a little thicker paint so what is the with all the hype

theres more to it than just that. Less oil in the paint, less seams, patented design, paint sticks to the inside of the ball instead of settling. Less sensitive to humidity.

How do you know if it is the "New" stuff?

it a low sheen paint,in other words the shell is flat in color.when you feel the ball you can't feel a seam.well maybe a little bit

I have heard that the new paint is a little smaller than what the PMI used to be.

I had bad luck with the new PMI paint, I hope it was just a bad batch ... I had numerous barrel breaks, and that just plain sucks ... oh well, maybe the next batch will be better.

I just shot half a case today, and didn't have any breaks in the barrel. The paint is smaller than the old PMI, but it breaks on your target instead of bouncing. At the field I play at, we use PMI green/white with white fill, and at the last tourney, everyone was complaining about how the old pmi bounced so much. I don't see this problem anymore.

i just got a case of the new pmi and old pmi stuff from http://www.copaintball.com . i love that company by the way. they always give the freshest paint, and even sent it fed ex next day air because they didnt have the bigball i ordered the day before.
the advantage paint has a different box, which is the new stuff. it says advantage on the box. the balls are alot less oily but all mine are perfectly round. the pmi old style i have are more oily and have a few small dimples.
