to me its a post/thread that either has no meaning or is just stupid, or copied from someone elses. Take all of Ztargac's posts or threads for example, its all spam

Spam is unsolicited e-mail (or news postings) pushing a point. Be it an ad for a used PC, or an urge to vote on a proposition, usually it's advertising some kinda of crap; if you didn't ask for it, didn't sign up on a mailing list related to it, and didn't leave your e-mail address on a web form asking for more information on it, it's spam! And if it's in your mailbox, the sender might be liable for a $500 fine per day after, etc. And it happends without your approval.
It's like people coming to your house, and asking if you want to buy a dictionary set. they come to you house today, tomorrow, the next day, the day after, etc. And it happends without your approval.

Actually with the advent of internet chatrooms and forums it has also taken on a new meaning. Which is to repeadetly post messages with no point, or continue posting the sam thing over and over.
